Please welcome our wonderful new foster parent, Leisel Ellis! Leisel is now approved to welcome children in foster care into her home and learned about Community Connections through friends and family who are also foster parents in our program.

With the ongoing shortage of available foster homes in Georgia, we are so grateful for parents like Leisel for opening their hearts and homes.

We are thrilled to announce that we are a recipient of a donation from the Roma M. Karp Foundation for the second year in a row! This $2,000 donation will help us to better serve children and families in our program. We are so grateful!

Each December, we gather together to spread holiday cheer over food and fun & celebrate our foster parents, staff, and board members. We are excited to make more memories together in 2024. Every year our agency gathers for our Holiday Party to celebrate the holidays with our families, staff, and board. This year we received a generous sponsorship from our silver sponsor, Thunder Energies Corporation. The 9th Annual Danny Stallings Memorial Christmas Toy Drive honors a man we dearly miss who generously gave to Community Connections. In his honor, this drive supports our agency year after year and we are beyond appreciative. - Family Consultant Supervisor, Kamaria Baysmore, is now a Licensed Master Social Worker!
- Community Engagement Specialist, Catie Williams, recently completed the Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) with United Way of Greater Atlanta!
- Family Consultant, Tyleisha Bowden, obtained a Gerontology Certificate from Georgia State University!

It always makes our day to connect with the sweet bakers from Cake4Kids! Whether they are dropping off a birthday cake for one or dozen of cookies for many, we know that each treat was made with intentionality and care.

Cake4Kids is powered by an amazing and compassionate group of volunteers who donate all the ingredients and supplies to bake cakes for the youth in their own homes and then deliver them to agencies like ours. We can't wait to share these holiday cookies with the kids in our program. 💚❤️

Earlier this month we had the great opportunity to participate in the National Adoption Month Community Resource Fair hosted by The Law Office of Felita Cornog, Rockdale County, and The Georgia Division of Family & Children Services. This event brought together many advocates in adoptive/foster services. We were honored to be present and look forward to this event happening again.

Earlier this month a couple of our team members attended the Community Breakfast hosted by the Violence Prevention Program at Emory Hillandale Hospital. We are grateful for a partner like Emory Healthcare & Emory Decatur Hospital who not only envisions a safer community but takes action. Thank you for hosting an informative breakfast on violence prevention – your commitment to creating positive change shines bright. Together, we can all make a real impact!

November 16th was Kids2 Co. Global Give Back Day in honor of Universal Children’s Day. On this special day, the organization’s global offices close so the entire global Kids II team can volunteer together on projects in local communities.
