Grandpa’s Shed

In the back of Sweet Mama’s Family Restaurant in Stony Brook, located in Stony Brook Village Center, there’s a not-so-hidden shed — one where craft beers flow through hoses, toolboxes contain rusty nails and screwdrivers, and dark-painted workbenches attempt to conceal the years of tinkering and woodworking of a man who has worked with his hands his entire life (look closely or feel around the wood grain to discover the imperfections).

Restored antiques, miscellaneous farm tools and framed photographs of Grandpas adorn the walls to create a nostalgic atmosphere designed to bring comfort and a sense of belonging to those sipping on The Bee’s Knees or snacking on Sticks & Stones in Grandpa’s Shed.
