Stoughton Girl Scouts

Stoughton Girl Scout held its annual Bridging Ceremony at beautiful Ames Pond. This year over 20 Girl Scouts were recognized as they made their journey to the next level of Girl Scouting. Stoughton proudly celebrated girls flying up or bridging from Daisy to Brownie, Brownie to Junior, Junior to Cadette, Cadette to Senior, and Senior to Ambassador.

At the Bridging Ceremony, Nichola Gonsalves was recognized as Stoughton Leader of the Year. In addition, Jenn Sears and Cheryl Iverson were recognized for their recent volunteer awards from Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. A special thanks to Caitlin Beberman from GSEMA for joining us.

On Memorial Day, we remember with gratitude those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their bravery will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Stoughton Girl Scouts had their annual spring encampment at Camp Wind-in-the-Pines. The misty wet weather didn't deter about 40 Girl Scouts and 15 leaders and volunteers from spending the weekend camping and participating in outdoor activities including archery, hiking, outdoor cooking, canoeing, tie dye, fire building, singing and "s'more" much more!

This weekend, Stoughton GS Junior Troop 67874 participated in their first Operation Snowflake Invitational! These Scouts learned about outdoor camping, orienteering, lashing, dog sledding, fire building, biathlon, wood cutting and the importance of TEAMWORK. Our Scouts were recognized at this, the event's 50th Anniversary, for their ambition and preparedness. Way to go!

Big shout out to Mary Ellen Lundy at An Organized Approach for the generous donation assisting the Stoughton Girl Scouts in creating birthday bags to be delivered to the Old Colony YMCA - Stoughton ! The troop parents very graciously donated additional supplies to complete the bags and Stoughton Girl Scout Troop 62271 assembled the bags. Each birthday bag helps a family in needs create a special birthday celebration with items like cake mix, frosting, and party goods.

Awesome collective effort between local business partnerships, families, and Girl Scouts this holiday season to make the World a Better Place throughout the year!

We have been busy creating some Christmas Cheer. The Stoughton Girl Scouts created 200+ handmade, holiday cards for the families of the St. Anthony’s Free Market Food Pantry !!!! This is the power of Girl Scouts! Way to make the season merry & bright!!! Thank you for all of your support.

Stoughton Girl Scouts gathered tonight to kick off everyone's favorite season.... Girl Scout Cookie Season! About 40 Girl Scouts sharpened their selling techniques, goal set, and practiced money skills at the Stoughton Public Library tonight. Cookies are officially on order through the individual Girl Scouts, NOW!

Recently, I had the special privilege of welcoming Stoughton Girl Scouts Troop 67874 and their chaperones to the State House. They were given a tour of the Senate Chambers and were introduced to State Representative Bill Galvin. I’m always pleased to discuss civics and legislation with scouts who, though scouting, strive to make their community a better place.
