Dear Flourish Yoga Community,

We hope this message finds you well. It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we write to inform you that our last class in our current location will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Our current location is not financially sustainable and while we continue to look for a new home for our community we can no longer continue operations at our current location.

Flourish Yoga + Wellness opened its doors just a month before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been an incredible journey, marked by challenges such as multiple shutdowns and the constant navigation through the changes brought about by this historic event. Despite these hurdles, we are proud to have been a part of the Stow community, providing quality yoga instruction and wellness resources.

We are immensely grateful to you, our students, for joining us on this journey. Your support and enthusiasm have been the lifeblood of our studio. While we are sad to close this chapter, we are heartened by the connections and memories we have made together.

Regarding your memberships, all passes are set to not auto-renew, so there should be no issues with future billing. However, if you encounter any problems or have any billing inquiries, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Lastly, we will be hosting a studio sale after our closure, where you will have the opportunity to purchase merchandise and other items at significantly discounted prices. This will be a wonderful chance to take a piece of Flourish Yoga + Wellness home with you.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being an integral part of the Flourish family. Your presence and energy have truly made our studio a special place. Please continue to follow us on social media for updates!

BREAKING DOWN THE POSE:

Half Moon Pose, also known as Ardha Chandrasana, is a standing balance posture that requires strength, flexibility, and focus. To get into the pose, start in Warrior II with your right foot forward. Straighten your right leg and shift your weight onto your right foot, placing your right hand on the ground or a block in front of your right foot. You may also rest your right forearm on a chair. Extend your left leg straight behind you, parallel to the ground, and reach your left arm up towards the ceiling. Keep your hips and chest open towards the side of the room and engage your core to maintain balance.

The benefits of Half Moon Pose include strengthening the legs, hips, and core, improving balance and coordination, increasing flexibility in the hamstrings and hips, and improving digestion and circulation. It can also help to relieve stress and anxiety, and improve focus and concentration. Remember to breathe deeply and hold the pose for several breaths before switching sides.

You'll feel more grounded and focused after this pose. Try it up against a wall for a supported version to help you focus on balance and strength.

One of our favorite yoga poses is Tadasana or Mountain Pose! This pose may seem simple but it has a huge impact on your nervous system. Stand tall and rooted to the ground, feeling your feet firmly planted beneath you. Reach your arms up towards the sky, lengthening your spine and taking deep breaths. Mountain pose is a great way to improve posture, increase focus, and connect with your body.
