Stow Friends of the Council on Aging
Making Stow a special place for seniors to live.
The SFCOA Creators Club is looking for someone to teach the group how to use a Cricut. If you are interested and available please let me know. Thank you for considering supporting the SFCOA and the Stow Council on Aging. (The Creators Club is a group of volunteers who provide their time and talent to turn mostly donated materials into products sold in the gift shop - pictures to show examples of products . Funds raised directly support Stows senior residents).
The Gift Shop also has a selection of children's items. To quote a recent shopper . . . "Just wanted to show off the baby swag l picked up at the Gift Shop for our new grandniece. What a great place, and even better prices!" Shop local and support the Stow Council on Aging and our senior residents.
The Gift Shop has a variety of fabric products that are not only beautiful but functional. Check out our fabric crossbody bags, carriers, treat (pet) bags, tissue holders, gift bags, aprons and bowl cozies. These make perfect gifts for the teachers, mothers and students in your life. Purchase one of our handmade fabric cards, add a gift card and you’ve got an instant present! Proceeds benefit Stow's senior residents Stow Council on Aging
Check out the assortment of decoupage plates made by a Stow senior. Small plates are perfect for snacks or if you are dining alone. The larger ones make a lovely hostesses gift or use as a serving platter at your next gathering. Either size dish would make a great Mother’s Day gift. You can use the plate for homemade baked good or simply put a pretty candle on it. These plates are available for purchase at the Gift Shop. Small plates are $5 and the larger ones are $10. The Gift Shop, located at the Stow Council on Aging, is open 8-3:30 Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Proceeds directly benefit Stows senior residents.
Hope to see you at Pompo on Thursday 5/16 from 10 until noon. Everyone is welcome . . . seniors, non-seniors, men, women . . . only requirement is that you enjoy working with a team!
Great way to volunteer. 😀
Do you love clothes? Do you have some time to volunteer to support Stows senior residents? Then the SFCOA has a volunteer opportunity for you. Bonus too that this opportunity can be done at your convenience during our business hours (M-F 8 to 3:30). And it can be shared by more than one person so grab and friend and make it more fun!
The SFCOA is the main fundraising arm for the Stow Council on Aging. Earlier this month we began Thrift Thursday. Every Thursday from 10 to 12 we offer people the opportunity to shop from a wide selection (Women’s, Men’s, and Children’s) new, like new and gently used clothing all at crazy good deals! The SFCOA needs someone to sort the donations. Selected donations are hung on wheeled racks by category. For those items with tags (or other high valued items) must be priced based on internet research.
