🌟Oktoberfest—one of our favorite festivals! Come down and support and swing buy to purchase your dog our Oktoberfest themed cookies.

🌟Neighborhood Pet Store Day—bring and independent pet store can be a challenge but it’s worth it because we can offer our community quality products, services and expertise that you may not find at the bigger stores. This is a day to support indie pet stores! We will have a TON of discounts available along with pup cups, samples and more!

🌟World Octopus Day 🐙—this is still a work in progress but it includes cookies, toys and a patio party with our friends at

🌟 Trick or Treat 👻—back by popular demand, we will be hosting our 2nd annual trick or treat event! With the support of our small business friends on North Front Street, we’ll have 2 full blocks of trick or treat stops! Registration will be limited. More details to come!

Pictures can be dropped off any time this week. We’ll put them through Saturday 9/1. We’ll be keeping the display up from Monday, 8/26 through Sunday 9/2 in Cuyahoga Falls. We will also have a small display in Strongsville. Those pictures will start to go up on Tuesday, 8/27 and stay up through Labor Day.

Holly has been waiting for a family since May of 2022 and been spending her senior years in a kennel ever since her return. Holly is SO loving to her human friends but can be selective with other dogs and all of our fosters own dogs of their own. We are looking for a foster or forever home for our sweet girl. ♥️

We have vendors that send us products with these squishy packing peanuts and I always found them to be so annoying until I discovered THEY ARE BIODEGRADABLE 🤯. It’s save to put them in your sink and dissolve them as they are entirely plant based (corn & wheat starch) and completely safe for the water. If you don’t want them in your drain, you can put them in your compost pile!!

Meet Elise, young entrepreneur and founder of Purr-fect Playthings. As an avid cat lover, Elise wanted to create a toy that her cats, Stitch & Branch, would enjoy. She also participates in 4-H and as part of her 4-H project, Elise created Nip Knots! Nip Knots are adorable, handcrafted toys made with fleece, stuffed with catnip and adorned with a ribbon in the middle for extra fun!

Once Elise realized how much her cats loved the Nip Knots, she wanted to spread that joy to other cats. Elise began by selling the Nip Knots at the Medina County SPCA. We loved Elise’s entrepreneurship and mission, so we invited Elise to sell her Nip Knots at Morty’s.
