Lorelai Madison Soaps

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, Fred's first baseball season kicked my butt! And silly me thought it would be fun to sign Lorelai up for kickball too (it has been fun, just exhausting). And then there's Dane, his last cardiology appointment didn't go well... his stents need expanded much earlier than we were hoping and we are headed back to Orlando in June 😭 for his surgery. Anyways, I'll have a bunch of soaps ready soon, some restocks, some new ones.

Busy morning making 84 bars of soap and 5 jars of whipped Body Butter to fulfill an order and start building my stock up again!

Life post... things have been hard lately. I know it's been a while since I've posted, I'm working on getting soaps made and restocked but I've had quite a few custom orders for baby showers, bridal showers and weddings lately, which I absolutely love getting, but there's just been a lot of personal stuff going on distracting me. My senior dog Sadie went from fine to needing to put her down in a matter of 3 weeks, I'll never know what the problem was because it was just so severe, so fast, we had to make the decision to not let her suffer, she had been a part of the family for a few months shy of 11 years and I couldn't even take her, I had to call my dad crying and have him take her and Freddie with tears in his eyes asked to ride with him, he literally grew up with her and our hearts are broken. Dane's last appointment wasn't great, we go back in about 2 weeks and if things don't improve on the echo we'll be going BACK to the hospital in Orlando... the dread I have over this is other worldly. Today I made soaps for 2 different baby showers and totally botched both on the first go, had to remake both, I'm gonna blame it on my mental state. I have a huge order for an upcoming wedding I'm gonna knock out in the next week and then I'll be available for other custom orders. Really trying to restock my regular soaps and other products so I can experiment with some new things. All of this is very dependent on Dane's health (obviously). I'm trying yall.

We can't wait for our favorite food truck to open as a restaurant!

Our first event since all the crazy hospital stuff with Dane, we were hoping it would be a bit cooler but that just meant we took turns with Dane in the car, he's never been a big fan of being out in the heat. Thankfully our other events this year are at night or inside.

This post has been a long time coming... On August 12th I took Dane into urgent care for an infection in his finger, when they took his vitals his oxygen was in the 40s! We ended up at tradition ER and from there we were transferred via ambulance to Nemours in Orlando. After a few days of testing he was diagnosed with a heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. August 18th he had open heart surgery to close a hole in the bottom two chambers of his heart and add patches to his pulmonary arteries because they were severely undersized making it extremely hard to pump blood to the lungs. We were in the hospital a total of 19 days and he has been healing wonderfully for the most part. Unfortunately though his pulmonary arteries were not growing as they should have and actually started to decrease in size and we had to go back Tuesday, October 3rd for a cath lab procedure, the plan was for them to balloon the arteries but that was not sufficient and they had to insert stents on both sides. Thankfully the procedure went well and it was a one night stay and we are back home and doing great. Due to all of this though and the fact that Dane is still breastfed I will be doing a very limited amount of markets and events this holiday season. I will still be making all the amazing things for your gifting and self care needs and encourage you to message me if there is anything specific you want. My website has been off but should be back up for ordering in about a week. I'll be ready to take on more wholesale accounts in about a month as well.

Restock at our favorite produce stand! Website is currently down but will be back up sometime next week, we've had some crazy personal issues come up in the last month but I'm super excited for the fall and holiday season and will have limited edition fall soaps available soon!

It's World Breastfeeding Week! As a BFing Mama of three I love that there is a whole week to celebrate mom's like me! I've now collectively breastfed for almost 53 months (on the 16th)... yall, it's a lot of work! Look at this beautiful breastmilk soap I had the honor of making this week! Unscented with oatmeal, it's the perfect soap for babies💕 I'm gonna have to make some for myself soon!
