Stuart Sailfish Club

Those that followed our Ladies Tournament saw the BIG names fishing. As a committee and a club we were so honored by the support of the sportfishing fleet! Sometimes those pro boats scare off the new guys.. comments of “how can we compete against them.. “ Well, ask Cracker Style, our Second Place Team!
8 sisters, daughters, and friends fished their first tournament, the crew was two 15 year olds and a 17 year old skipper. (the Dads got left behind for the day) and… they crushed it!! Two of their Jr. Anglers hooked their first sailfish. Lianna Davis hooked hers at 10:20 and cousin Emmy Brosseit hooked hers at 2:28. Meatfish through the day added to the fun! Such an exciting time for the entire team. That night tears filled the eyes of many of our more accomplished Lady Anglers as the entire crowd rose to their feet in a standing ovation and Lianna accepted her first fishing trophy, Top Jr. Angler, sponsored by Stuart Design Co. she received a beautiful sailfish necklace, we know she now wears with such pride. Call it beginners luck, call it local knowledge, this crew of young fish heads is the future of our sport and our club. We couldn’t be more happy for them. Congratulations Cracker Style! 🏆🎣✨

What a storm we blew in! Our thoughts and efforts over the past week have been with the victims of last week’s hurricane and locally the tornadoes it brought. Many of our neighbors suffered and as a club, as always, we are here to help. As things start to return to “normal” in our little fishing town we look back at the happy chaos we caused the docks of Two Georges Saturday, October 5th!

Welcome to the Club, to the Tournament, and to our newest list of major Sponsors -Well Groomed Lawns! Angler Management is up to Captain Dylan as his fiancé Ana and her best friend Sam take on the creatures of the ocean! Both Montessori teachers, Ana is most often found at her farm complete with mini cow and baby Great Dane (same size as the cow) and Sam we are proud to say, not only runs our club bar, but is a lead in our education and scholarship programs! These two women work hard and play hard. We are thrilled to cheer this team on as they take their spot at the Two Georges docks this Saturday.
