Pre- and post-surgery for this sweet boy to correct entropion, where the eyelid turns under and the fur rubs against the cornea, potentially causing ulcers. This surgery completely changed the quality of his life. Pre-surgery, he would spend most of the day sitting quietly with his eyes closed. Now he's able to explore and enjoy his surroundings!!
We are seeking a helper for a couple afternoons a week and Saturdays. Makes for a perfect after school part time job! Animal handling experience preferred. Call us at 845-368-3455 or email your resume to [email protected]
Thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes
Happy birthday to our own Dr Ness!!
Welcome Dr Kasman!
Dr Lonnie Kasman, a native of Rockland, brings with him a wealth of experience as he joins us after successfully owning his own practice for nearly two decades. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 1990. Additionally, he dedicated six years of his career as a research fellow at the renowned San Diego Zoo, focusing on the study of reproductive endocrinology in various endangered species such as elephants, rhinoceros, and primates.
Dr Kasman also serves as a Field Veterinarian for Veterinarians International (www.vetsinternational.org), an organization committed to making a positive impact on global animal health. He has ventured to Guatemala, providing essential vaccination and spay/neuter services to underserved villages lacking basic veterinary care. Veterinarians International empowers a diverse group of veterinarians and support staff worldwide, aiming to enhance the well-being of animals, the environment, and communities. Their ultimate vision is to foster a world where humans and animals can coexist in a healthy and harmonious manner.
Having been friends and colleagues for almost four decades, Dr Kasman eagerly anticipates the opportunity to support Dr Ness and the dedicated team at Airmont Animal Hospital in caring for your cherished pets.
