In Ms. Wagner’s class the students learned about monotype color transfer is an application of solutions and solubility in art which uses a non-polar solvent to transfer a laser printed image to another piece of paper. They then added color and design to the transferred image using the natural pH indicator cabbage juice and changes the colors using lemon juice and/or baking soda solution. Science is so cool!!

NGMS and NGHS came together for a Vertical Leadership conference last weekend. They dressed up in Hawaiian attire to cruise into spring break and learned about the importance of communication as a leader. We had great breakout sessions on building trust, teamwork and using critical thinking in worst case scenarios. It was a great day of securing the building blocks of leadership. Thank you NGHS StuCo for joining forces with us!!

All next week, NGMS StuCo will be collecting brand new adult size pajamas to donate to Jambos. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.

Jambos’s mission is to bring comfort by providing them with a brand new set of pajamas as their transition into the foster care system.

Bring them to the front lobby or a grade level office and there will be a bin at each location. This is a great way to give to others!

Relay for Life is one of the largest fundraising events in the world. Throughout the year, Relay for Life Teams across GCPS raise funds to support the fight against cancer. One of our school's RFL team's largest events is the walk-a-thon.

On March 14th, students will have the opportunity to participate during their connections time. This is a fun event for students to have time with friends while they walk around the PE field outside. Drinks and snacks/candy will be available to purchase with cash during the walk. All profits from the walk-a-thon will go towards the NGMS Relay Team's fundraising goal. Admission is only $5 to walk and can either be prepaid through MyPaymentsPlus or paid in cash the morning of the walk. Thank you for supporting the NGMS Relay for Life Team!
