We (Guts and Glory Tennis) now carry the remarkable Hesacore tour and carbon grips for pickleball paddles. We have a wide range of sizes ready to go! These retail online for $24.90/$29.90. Our price is lower AND includes free professional installation. (Installation challenges are the only complaint you will ever see about these grips and we have removed that obstacle for our local customers!)

Advantages include a honeycomb grip pattern that requires less grip pressure to hold paddle stable while hitting. A looser grip is desired for more power (whipping action) on serves and ground strokes, but is especially advantageous on resets and dinks…did we mention easier access to spin with a looser grip? There’s that too.

These are elegant products, designed and manufactured in Italy. (The Vespa of pickleball grips). The silicon construction also acts as a shock dampening material which can help prevent shock related arm issues such as tennis elbow. Players can choose from sizes that increase grip diameter by a full size to those that minimally increase grip size.

First New Year's resolution...

To make use of my obsessive knowledge of pickleball paddles and equipment to help pickleball players, (new and experienced), in selecting a paddle that will match and enhance their playing style and preferences. I am proud to me moving from a sales paradigm to one of highly personalized service as I will be making referrals only and no longer selling paddles directly.

To my knowledge I will be offering the first official Pickleball Paddle Consulting service in the USA. It officially launches 1/2/24. Hoping some of you might visit my new page, like it and keep it in mind to share with any friends, family or colleagues who may be pickleball players.

For local players I will be offering in person paddle spec measurements and legal alterations to help optimize and get the best performance out of their paddles.

Going to be a huge Pickleball week for our local friends residing in the Guts and Glory Tennis and Audacious Pickleball service area.

Thursday, 12/7, Pickle and Social Gwinnett will open near the Mall of GA. This is a luxury pickletainment complex featuring indoor and outdoor pickleball courts along with food, outdoor games and plenty of entertainment perks. Best of all, it is dog friendly!!!

But wait, there’s more!!! On Friday, Dec 8, another complex, More Than Pickleball will celebrate its grand opening! Located in Mall of GA complex in building that formerly housed HH Gregg, this facility will feature indoor pickleball, climate controlled, with cushioned courts. Matches will be recorded and light snack bar is available. Cost per hour to participate and for membership is less than Pickle and Social.

So, lots of excitement in terms of pickleball options in our area. Don’t forget we offer the best Ronbus paddles as well as a variety of pickleballs and gifts in our local shop. Been battling Plantars faciitis. Tried new insoles last night. Really enjoyed the support and feel. My previous insoles were high in a bad spot. I moved so much better last night and with greater comfort. Wanted to share and shout out to Move for their game day insoles. Move.one for anyone interested.

Our new Vega 40 pickleballs are on their way.!!! Excited to test them. Early feedback indicates they are a firm ball. Firmer than Franklin, almost as firm as Dura 40 and more durable than either. Can they live up to these expectations? Be watching here as we will answer that question and if the answer is yes, we plan to bring them in for our local customers.
