One question I like to ask with fantasy balayage clients during consultation is:

“Do you want to look like your hair is (red/blue/purple etc.) all over? Or do you want your natural color to take the spotlight with the fantasy color accenting it?” 🤔

As a stylist it’s so important to ask the right questions during consultation! 💡Our client featured above had previously gone to a different salon for her fantasy balayage. Their vision didn’t quite match up with what our client was envisioning, and ended up with a heavy placement of red, when the client was looking for high ratio of natural color in the final look.

It happens! It’s not a reflection on anyone’s work, oftentimes is just a matter of asking the right questions during consultation, which comes with time and experience ☺️✨

With thorough consultation we were able to adjust the color and give her a softer balayage that accentuates her natural color ❤️

Have you ever tried doing these loose “instagram curls” and had it fall out in minutes? 🤔 Try curling your hair a little bit tighter next time and letting the hair cool into it’s curl formation before you brush it through! ✨
