Working on an office buildout in Montana. This particular job uses about 7 miles of material laid end to end. Can you guess how many screws we need to put all of that together?

How it Started vs. How it’s Going

It has been pretty cold over in Montana the last week, but there is still work to be done! Here are some progress pictures of Hangar 6 that we are working on with Langlas & Associates. First floor is framed out and we will start the second soon.

I spy Bellevue Plaza.

Prefabricated exterior panels are going up. These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when we were only up through the 4th floor. We are now on the 9th. The crane operator flies each panel up to a four man Sessler crew that sets it in place. All in all, we will be setting 277 panels on Bellevue Plaza.

Say hello to Steve Voigt, a Foreman and our Prefabrication Specialist here at Sessler, Inc. Steve has been with us since 2004 and his favorite part about his job is the new challenges that each day brings. Outside of work, you can find him drag racing, working on cars, and hanging out with his dog.

Meet Juan Avila, a foreman here at Sessler, Inc. Juan has been with us since 2011, starting out as a U-man and went through his entire apprenticeship with us. In his free time Juan enjoys hanging out with his kids, camping, boating, football, playing basketball, and hiking with his dogs.

A while back we shared a picture hoisting our roof trusses out at JBLM. Here are some update pictures of the interior coming together as well.

Prefabricating some headers for a job that we haven’t even started. This allows for a more efficient build process once we are on site. Just like Legos!

Meet Warren Dick, a superintendent here at Sessler, Inc. Warren has been with us for around 21 years now and is a very valuable asset to our team. Some of his favorite things about his job is working on high rises, problem solving, completing the job on time and under budget, and negotiations involved in the building process. In Warren’s free time you can find him golfing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.

Welcome to our project for the Lakehaven Water and Sewer District. We have told you a couple of fun facts about framing and drywall in the past, now we’re gonna share a taping fact. All in all, Sessler Inc will be using around 70,000 LBS of taping mud on the drywall for Lakehaven. This comes out to weigh more than your average humpback whale.🐋

Say hello to Brett Diefendorf, one of our estimators here at Sessler, Inc. Brett has been with us for 6 months and his favorite thing about work is building relationships in the industry and providing competitive bids to secure jobs. In Brett’s free time he enjoys playing golf, softball, cheering on Seattle sports teams, WSU sports teams, and spending time with friends and family. Also, he is a big fan of country music and a professional, “good time haver.”

UW Tacoma’s Milgard Hall is coming along nicely with .construction. We really enjoy working around the beautiful Timbers as well. Here is some of the interior and exterior framing we are working on!

Welcome to Chinook Elementary School, a job we are working on. During the construction process, a lot more material is used than you may think. Here are some fun facts:

At the end of this project we will have used about 6500 sheets of drywall on this job. This is the equivalent of almost FOUR football fields!

275,000 Lineal Feet of framing material is going into this job. If you were to lay all of this out end-to-end, it would be around 52 miles worth of material. Equivalent to two full MARATHONS!

Really puts things into perspective when you look at it like this. 🔨👷🏼‍♀️

Meet Dan Sessler, the Vice-President of Sessler, Inc. Dan started out his career working summers in high school for his Father. He is now prided in continuing the Sessler legacy established by his Grandfather in 1946. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, racing motocross, fishing, playing basketball, hunting, and hanging out with his bulldog, Todd.

Meet Shane Meyer, our BIM Manager here at Sessler, Inc. Shane started out as an intern at Sessler in 2018, and has been with us ever since. His favorite part about working for Sessler is dealing with the fast paced projects and seeing how far he can take the prefabrication process. In Shane’s free time he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, golfing, hiking with his dog, and keeping up with WSU sports.

Meet Anya Meier, a foreman here at Sessler, Inc. Anya has been with Sessler for about five years and enjoys seeing the building come together over time. She says that getting into the trades has been a huge blessing and she is grateful to be where she is. In Anya’s spare time she enjoys being outside. Specifically, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
