Don't miss this years October teen programing at the Main Library, downtown. Bring friends and family to play Ultimate Werewolf on October 10th at 4:30PM and learn how to create depth with pens and markers on October 17th at 4:30PM. Teen programing is for teens and tween 12 - 17 years old. Siblings and parents are welcome to stay and play boardgames and craft at the parents table during the program.

Check out next week's Harvest Moon Craft for our Crafting With the Family program at the Sumter County Library. Bring the family to the Main Library, downtown, September 9th at 4pm to make your own. during the program, We will talk about the Harvest Moon, it's connection to the Fall Equinox, and how the Earth's rotation around the sun creates the seasons.

The Friends of the Library's Annual Book Sale is on the way! Be sure to set your calendars for the event!
All branches of the Sumter County Library will be closed from Saturday, August 31st through Monday, September 2nd, for the Labor Day Weekend!
The next Downtown Book Club will be held next week on Thursday, September 5th at 3:00 p.m. We will be reading "True Biz" by Sara Novic.
We have several copies on hand at the Downtown Library if you haven't yet had a chance to grab your own. Don't miss it!

Due to possible inclement weather, the Sumter County Library will be closed Thursday, August 8th and will re-open on Friday, August 9th.
If you enjoyed our Crafting with The Family Activity over our 2024 Summer Reading Program we will continue it monthly every 2nd Monday between 4pm and 5:30pm.
On August 12th we will be using paper shapes to create 3D scenes. We will provide backgrounds, frames, paper shapes, pictures, and coloring utensils for your child to make a unique scene.
