The program is designed to eliminate barriers to employment by providing a comprehensive range of workforce and supportive services, including training for occupational skills and career navigation; childcare, housing, and other supportive subsidies that will enable participants to focus on their training, learning, and job opportunities.
Proud to support this partnership between our County and NOVAworks. It couldn’t have come at a better time given the combination of inflation and the high cost of living in our area. Securing a job with room for growth can be the difference between thriving and homelessness.

The first Labor Day was celebrated in 1882 in New York City, and by the time President Cleveland made it a national holiday in 1894, the event was celebrated annually in 24 states as a way to recognize workers' contributions "to America's strength, prosperity, and well-being."
NOVAworks has recognized the efforts of workers locally every day since our inception in 1983. As an organization, we strive to ensure that job seekers have the opportunity to share their contributions with the world in whatever scope and capacity they desire. We believe that every individual brings inestimable value to the work that they do, improving the quality of life for all.
