Family is the reason we are here. And family values are as important to our founding family and team as they were when we opened our gates in 1971. As many of you know, over the last several years we have continued to see a steady increase in bad behavior from some guests during the busy season in the campground.

Our team is enhancing the existing policy, Quiet Hours (11 PM - 7 AM), due to the behavior of some of our guests. We want kids and golf cars off the streets by Midnight. This will assist our Security teammates as they strive to provide a safe, family-friendly environment and help them more easily identify potential problems and monitor our campground.

Our commitment to providing a safe, fun place for families remains stronger than ever. So, we are taking a stand. We are going old school: we're implementing curfews beginning Friday, May 24, 2024. Our team should not need to be disciplinarians, that’s the parents' responsibility.

Golf Car Curfew |
Ocean Lakes has a Midnight curfew for the operation of a Golf Car and other modes of transportation (such as e-bikes, bikes, scooters, etc.). These modes of transportation (golf cars, e-bikes, bikes, scooters, etc.) must return to their registered site by Midnight and will be subject to a $100 fine. This policy applies year-round from Midnight to 5 AM. Carrying your ID is recommended.

Age Curfew |
Guests under 21 years of age are subject to Ocean Lakes’ curfew and must return to their site by Midnight unless accompanied by an adult from their site or the guest (or their parent/guardian) will be subject to a $100 fine. This policy applies year-round from Midnight to 5 AM. Carrying an ID is recommended.

We apologize to those good teenagers and their parents – we see you, and we truly appreciate you setting an example for others.

More information on these new policy additions can be found on our website. We have printed material about the new policies available at most campground buildings to assist our guests and Leaseholders.

Mark your calendars! The 23rd Annual Polar Bear Plunge is on December 31st at 3 PM. Registration opens on November 15th and is $15 a person. All participants must donate 2 non-perishable goods or donate at least $2 to help our friends at South Strand Helping Hand.

The Fun Card will be used at Sandy Harbor Game Center and Sandy Harbor Mini Golf. Do not worry about your Play Card credits or points! Simply bring your Play Card to the Game Center and we will transfer any cash and points to the NEW Fun Card.

Note: Please be patient and courteous with our team as we are navigating a new system. We believe we have worked out the kinks, but technology has a mind of its own at times.

🎶 Ice, ice baby! Alright stop, collaborate and listen! Ocean Lakes has a brand-NEW addition! 🎶

We are excited to announce we have a NEW Ice Machine, located at Beach Access P (on the South end near the Surfing Sandy statue)!

Ice dispenses a minimum of 10 pounds at a time for $3. Simply pay, then slide the lid up for a bag (skip this step if you are filling a cooler), then hold your bag or cooler up to the ice chute. There are ties available to secure your bag, if needed.

Note: Customers have 25 seconds to select the ice button or the transaction will cancel and it will refund their money.

Reminder: There is a water feature on the ice machine. However, we want to remind guests that we have two water stations in the campground that are free of charge.
