Join us Saturday, December 9th for the City of Surprise’s 2nd annual Sensitive Santa event, in partnership with Autism Society of Greater Phoenix who is hosting their 10th annual event! Our Sensitive Santa Experience is for those with Special Needs and provides a supportive environment eliminating bright lights and loud noises that can trigger sensory activities for someone on the spectrum. Each child taking their picture with Santa receives one-on-one time with the holiday icon in a private area that is modestly decorated. Night 2 of Surprise Party is today! Tonight will feature two different drone shows! The first one is 7pm and features the journey of our new special friend, Sparkle the Surprise Dog, and her journey through Sparkling Surprise ✨ The second show will take place at 8:30pm with traditional holiday images 🎄🎅⛄️ You don't want to miss!

Today's the day! Admission is free with a canned food or toy donation to Sanderson Ford Operation Santa. Join us for the tree lighting ceremony at 6:30pm!

The City of Surprise is excited to celebrate the holidays at our annual Surprise Party! The two-night event will run Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2, from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Surprise Recreation Campus - 15960 N. Bullard Ave.

Pet owners, please be aware that fireworks will occur towards the end of Friday nights festivities at approximately 8:55 p.m. Also, be sure to stop by Santa Paws sponsored by Pet Supplies Plus.

For the safety of those attending City of Surprise holiday events near the Surprise Recreation Campus, Bullard Avenue will be closed between Paradise and Tierra Buena lanes 24 hours a day from November 30, 2023 through January 3, 2024. The south Surprise Regional Library parking lot will also be closed during this time.

Be part of the 9th annual City of Surprise Veterans Day Parade! The Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting parade entry applications from clubs, organizations, groups and residents who want to show their patriotic spirit and honor those who have bravely served our country.

The parade will be held Saturday, November 11, beginning at 10 a.m., and will run along Bullard Avenue between Paradise and Tierra Buena lanes.

To register, head to surpriseaz.gov/surpriserec and click on ‘Special Events.’ Entry applications are due by Friday, October 28. There is no fee to participate.
