At the end of the month the Falls Auto Parts family will wish a happy retirement to Tim Koelsch at Sussex Napa. Tim has been a fixture at Sussex Napa and has been with Falls Auto Parts and Supplies Inc for 34 years. Tim was also with Rhinelander Napa for about 15 years prior to joining us, for a total of almost 50 years with the Napa organization. We have been very blessed to have Tim as our Sussex manager for over 3 decades. Tim's parts knowledge, work ethic and attention to detail are the best I have ever seen. Life here at Falls auto parts will be very different with out Tim here, but we are all very happy he will be able to enjoy his well earned retirement.

Weekend Results: 🔥

It was a pretty exciting weekend of racing for the team. We have come a long way this season and after some careful analysis of our setup and Jefferson racing philosophy... we finally felt comfortable at this track. When we got into this from the Bandolero last year. We assumed that since the cars were the same general size and weight they could be driven pretty close to the same line around the track. We would have to modulate the brakes and gas better but other than that it would be the same.... It's not the same. There a completely different priorities you have to respect between the two cars. But last night I think we finally got that figured out! We now just need a little more experience and improvement to stay a little closer to the edge of that traction circle and we are poised to have a very good 2024.

We unloaded with a car that was very good. There was an 18 car field and we were P2 after practice. We were turning lap times that were among the fastest we have turned all year. He was pretty conservative during the heat race and finished 3rd. During the feature we actually over-adjusted the car anticipating the longer 30 lap race would cause the car to loosen significantly. It was the first time all year he complained about a tight car after the race. This did hurt our entry and mid corner speed. Early in the race Lincoln made some very nice moves and passes to move himself into second place. But with a17 laps left he had his hands full with a hard charging Brandon Hill. Lincoln was quite lucky and hit lap traffic at the right time which gave him some breathing room. I am not sure how he did it, but he was just fast enough to cross the finish line a few inches ahead of Brandon.

It was a great race and are happy to be on the right track. This next week we do not race but will be ready to go for the two-day show at Jefferson Speedway September 16th! Congrats to Dillon Schwanbeck on winning the Jefferson Track Championship.
