Some of our Panther staff are moving onto a new beginning. And then there are these three wonderful women who have reached the golden opportunity of retirement. We send them off to enjoy life outside of school but will keep their dedication and love for all things Riverwatch going.

Spotlight!
The Academic Bowl team had a great weekend at the Middle School National Championship Tournament in Chicago. Our team members competed against 160 top teams from around the US, and ALL THREE of our teams placed in the top 50% of the field.
Both the A and B teams advanced to the championship bracket on Sunday. In these rigorous finals, the RMS A team placed 8th in the US, while the B team placed 21st.
The Riverwatch C team was one of only a few C teams to qualify to compete in the competition, and they represented us well every round!
Sixth grader Suchet K. was an All Star of the tournament, an award given to the top 25 individual players.
We are so proud of the hard work all team members have put in this year, and we are especially proud of how they have grown as teammates!

As we complete another successful school year in FCS, please keep the following in mind if you plan to celebrate/surprise your child at the bus stop today:
Plan activities away from the school bus and bus stop. Distractions are extremely dangerous to students, bus drivers and motorists.
Do not involve the bus or bus driver. The students on the bus need to remain calm and the driver needs to stay focused on their job of keeping all students safe at all times.
Wait until all students are well away from the school bus, out of the bus crossing zone, and the driver has left the bus stop area before any bus stop activity takes place.
Thank you to our instructional coaching team for being . They do a fantastic job supporting teachers and the whole school as we build relationships and deliver high quality instruction.

Another face that's been around the River for a while but needs an official welcome! Say hi to Ms. Eason!
"Hi everyone, my name is Haley Eason! I have been with Riverwatch Middle School in the 8th grade science department since January 2024. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree (Go Dawgs!) and previously taught Life Science in Gwinnett County. My favorite things are running, traveling, reading, & spending time with family and friends. I have a passion for teaching and am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and love for science with your children. I look forward to getting to know each one of them as we embark on the 2024-2025 school year. Go Panthers!"
She's been at the River a while but we are happy to officially welcome Ms. Maguire!
"Hi everyone,
I am Catherine Maguire, and I am so excited to be part of the Riverwatch team! I was born and raised in Georgia, and next year will be my tenth year teaching middle school. I live in the community with my husband, two daughters, and our lovable pup, Remy. I love to read, play with the kids, attend all of the soccer games, and go to the lake. I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I cannot wait to continue getting to know everyone in the Riverwatch family."
Another new face joining us at the River! Say hi to Ms. Moore and see the message from her!
"My name is Laura Moore and I have been teaching life science for 11 years. I am looking forward to teaching 7th grade science at Riverwatch next year!"
