👮♂️🚔 All lanes of NC-24 through Cedar Point are open.
Please buckle up, drive the speed limit and be sure any roadway is clear of traffic and pedestrians before entering the roadway.
🚦Also, just a friendly reminder, yellow means SLOW DOWN and not speed up to beat the red light.
🇺🇸🇺🇸Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend.🇺🇸🇺🇸
Attention to all of those regular morning commuters through Swansboro.
NC Hwy. 24 is currently shut down in Cedar Point due to a structure fire at Sound Furniture. Fire personnel are having to route water from Onslow County to the scene and the roadway is not open for civilian traffic. The shutdown is expected to last another 2 to 3 hours so if you need to get through, your best option will be to take Belgrade-Swansboro Rd. up to Stella Road, turn right and continue on Stella Rd. You will need to make an immediate left once you cross the bridge to stay on Stella Rd. Continue on until you reach NC Hwy. 58. Turn south toward Cape Carteret and you will need to turn left onto Taylor Notion Rd. which will lead you back to NC-24.
Please be safe and do not speed to make up for the detour. Call ahead and tell your respective parties you will not make it in by your normal time.
Bernie called in his own mobile response team to visit him at work today. Huge thank you to Lush Pet Spa LLC for donating your services to get him within uniform regulations! For more footage from the incident and to keep up with all of Bernie’s adventures check out his new instagram page link in the comments. Don’t worry, they took all the evidence with them 😉
