The Belleville Parks and Rec Fishing Derby was cancelled today but that didn't stop our residents from having a great time at the Bicentennial Park in Belleville. Thank you to Hickory Shores Resort for sponsoring our Cambridge House of Swansea residents! They didn't catch much but did they ever have a blast.

Today is National Senior Citizens Day! Here is some life advice from some of our seniors! We should listen to all they have to say except maybe about their ages!

We take the game Toss The Pig very seriously here.. We have a traveling trophy for whoever wins for the month! This months winner is Donna!

Today is National Icecream Day! We were screaming for icecream during our icecream social

Its Elvis week and our residents were lucky enough to get some pictures with the king himself!

We had the pleasure to host Representative Katie Stuart, Representative Jay Hoffman, and Senator Christopher Belt. They met with the residents and explained the Personal Needs Allowance increase that will take effect in 2025.

The purpose of the visit was to highlight legislative efforts to support older adults, including increasing the personal needs allowance for residents on Medicaid in communities such as Cambridge House of Swansea from $90 to $120 a month.

The mission: Build the tallest tower with a few pieces of pasta and even fewer marshmellows... Luckily we measure the success of the mission on all the laughter not actually how tall the towers were!

Our Top Chefs are getting better and better! This time we made croisants stuffed with peanut butter and bananas or nuetella and strawberry! ... they might not be the prettiest but they sure tasted great!
