We had a fabulous time celebrating last week at The Waters of Sweetwater!
We enjoyed throwing it back to different decades. Pictured in the front row, left to right is our Resident Council President, Vivian Moser and Vice President, Angie Tuten and staff in the second row, left to right Hailey Moses, Dietary Manager, Dianna Thompson, HR and Mindi Bookout, Activity Director. There were lots of Capri Sun drinks and Doritos being snacked on through out the day. A big thank you to Ricky Starr for coming and entertaining us!
Some more from our 1920’s Day at The Waters of Sweetwater!
We’re having the best time celebrating !
The Waters of Sweetwater is celebrating this week by going through the 1920’s, 1940’s, 1960’s and 1980’s with Friday being Karaoke Day! We are making Radiant Memories as the staff dresses up with the theme. Did you know that in the 1920’s you could get a gallon of milk for $0.35 and a dozen eggs for $0.47? Rent back then was $60.00 per month!
Pictured in their 1920’s outfits to start the week are (left to right) Mindi Bookout, Activities Director, Dianna Thompson, HR and Haley Mosses, Dietary Manager.

Our nurses have received fun little tokens of our appreciation along with daily thank you’s which doesn’t feel enough as our nurse work hard each and everyday to provide the best care they can here at The Waters of Sweetwater!

Donna Isbill has worked nearly the last 38 years as a LPN where she has seen many changes, people come and go but yet has kept her heart planted here at The Waters of Sweetwater.
Donna was born and raised in Vonore, Tennessee. She has been married 40 years to her husband, Paul who she shares 5 children and 6 grandchildren with. Donna graduated from Voc-Tech in Athens, Tennessee as she was a CNA for two years and became a LPN that she has worked endlessly as for the last 38 years. Her mantra she lives by is “HAKNA MATATA.” When not working she loves to read and cook and dreams of going to Hawaii one day to relax on the beaches.
When asked, our employees comment on how sweet Donna is and how she will do anything for anyone. Our Unit Manager, Lora has worked with Donna for the last 26 years and credits Donna for a lot of what she has learned. Lora goes on to describe Donna as a leader by example who is knowledgeable, relatable, dedicated to her profession and NEVER too busy to help someone out. Our MDS Coordinator, Brandy when asked about who Donna is, stated that she is the most compassionate and caring nurse she has ever met. Donna helped Brandy when Brandy came to the facility five years ago with no experience and a brand-new CNA. Donna was very patient and understanding taking her time to explain and teach me how our residents should be treated and given the best care possible.
Our Wound Care nurse, Sandra also started working as a CNA with Donna’s help she states she has learned so much from her. She is positive never having a negative word to say. Sandra describes Donna a one of the hardest workers she has ever met.
All three of these ladies (and probably more if asked) feel as if Donna has become family to them and credit their advancement in the nursing profession to her. They plus many other employees of The Waters of Sweetwater go on to say Donna is what a true nurse should be and shows this through her work ethic, dedication, and kindness.
Happy Donna! Thank you for your dedication and commitment to us! We 💙 you!
The Waters of Sweetwater would like to say THANK YOU and Happy to our Nursing Supervising Team!
This team of leaders have over a combined 35 years plus of medical experience that have given them the skills and knowledge in working with our staff and residents. All five ladies are focused on making sure the needs of our residents are met and providing the best care The Waters of Sweetwater can. They are goal focused in and even out of the facility, striving to be the best for your loved ones. Thank you from all of the staff, families and residents at The Waters of Sweetwater

It’s another !
Roy came to The Waters of Sweetwater after having a stroke. He was barely to get to his feet by himself when he first got here, and he was very frustrated at his limitations. He worked extremely hard to walk – first with a walker and then with a cane – so that he could go home safely. Roy says the rehab team is “amazing” for how they strengthened both his body and his confidence, as well as helping him learn to challenge himself safely. His perseverance and his positive attitude have made him a delight to work with. We are so proud of him and so happy to see him going home independently!
Best of luck, Roy! We will miss you!

It’s and we would like to introduce Jody.
Jody came to The Waters of Sweetwater after a series of health challenges put her in the hospital for several months, with one attempt to go home which only lasted a few days. She was barely able to sit on the side of the bed when she first arrived, and she believed she would never walk again. After months of hard work, a few more health challenges, and a lot of determination, she is now able to stand up and walk! We are so excited to see her finally able to go home, and we wish her much success and joy!
