Struggling with what to do with all that equipment at the gym? It’s not very helpful if you don’t how to use it or how to plan a workout. At Accel, we’ve got the classes and instructors, all you have to do is show up! Your fitness level doesn’t matter, we will give you all of the options and modifications so that you can choose what is safest for you!
February is American Heart Month. There are so many ways that you can improve your heart health and reduce your risk of heart disease, and preventing high blood pressure is one. If you’ve already been diagnosed with hypertension and take medications to manage it, these healthy habits still apply and are just as important as taking your blood pressure medication!

How to Burn the Most Fat!! Cat Kom is a big fan of Zone 2 Training and is here to share what it is, the benefits, and why everyone should incorporate it.
Low Intensity Steady State, aka LISS, is a great addition. You don’t have to go all out all the time as far as intensity goes, in fact, it puts you at risk for injury. Pick a day and go for a walk to get some time in zone 2. Check out tomorrow’s video to see more info zone 2 and why it’s important.

You’ve probably heard that you should get 8 eight ounce glasses of water per day but that is an estimate. A more accurate way is to shoot for drinking HALF of your body weight in ounces of water per day. In other words, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should aim for 75 ounces of water daily. Now do the math for what size container you normal drink out of, ie Stanley, 16.9 oz bottle, and you will know how many you need daily. Add more for your workouts.

Consistency is key! You can’t hop on every trendy workout or diet and expect magic results in a week. Pick one and give it time. Better yet, forget the trendy stuff, go old school and eat a healthy diet MOST of the time combined with your favorite exercise 3-5 times a week and with long term consistency, you will slowly see results. Not the magic kind of results that social media influencers like to sell you on!
