Ackerman Law PLLC proudly provides Estate Planning services for our clients. As an existing or prior client, we now offer a limited time discounted rate should you choose to engage our services to prepare our Essential Estate Planning Package.

Our EEP Package for an individual includes a simple Will (one that does not include a Trust), a Durable Power of Attorney, a Living Will, and a Healthcare Proxy. We offer further discounted rates should you and your spouse each utilize our Estate Planning Package simultaneously.

An Estate Plan is recommended for anyone over the age of 18, regardless of how many assets they have. After a consultation with one of our attorneys, we will discuss options and tailor an Estate Plan based on your specific and unique circumstances to help ensure that your wishes are known and followed, which helps ease the burden on loved ones and family.

Our Essential Estate Planning Package contains:

• A last Will and Testament to name who would receive your assets and to appoint an executor to administer your Estate and who would be a Guardian for your children (if applicable).

• A Power of Attorney to appoint an agent to make the decisions you authorize during your lifetime should you become incapacitated. It is important to note that the Power of Attorney is only valid during your lifetime.

• A Living Will, which is a directive to your family and physicians of your wishes for continued care if you have a terminal or irreversible condition and are incapacitated.

• A Healthcare Proxy to appoint an agent to make medical decisions on your behalf should you become incapacitated.

Additionally, we offer more complex Estate Planning options should your specific circumstances require it; however, our Essential Estate Planning Package is suitable for most individuals and couples. Please give our office a call today and we will be happy to discuss options with you.

The Empowering Women Awards will be presented at a celebration on Thursday, July 25, at Crest Hollow Country Club, 8325 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury. Registration, networking and a luncheon begin at 11 a.m., followed by a panel discussion at noon featuring some of Long Island’s most successful women leaders who will share what they wish they knew at the beginning of their careers. The awards program begins at 1 p.m.
