After reviewing the weather reports for the incoming Nor'easter storm, we will be closing the office today at 3 PM, and will be closed tomorrow. Our process servers will be operating at their independent discretion. We hope everyone stays safe and warm!

Inspera LLC is currently seeking a reliable process server to cover Broome County and surrounding areas.

A process server is responsible for delivering (or serving) legal documents to people who are part of a court proceedings; it requires them to be formally informed of the actions. The job duties include delivering papers to witnesses, defendants, and other parties whose participation or input has been deemed necessary by the courts, be it a local, municipal or federal.

Here's how it works:
1. When work is available in your area, we will e-mail the instructions and documents to you.

2. You will print the work and begin service.

3. You'll drive to the addresses we provide and make up to 4 attempts to serve the person including in the morning (6 AM - 8 AM), daytime (9 AM - 5 PM), evening (6 PM - 10 PM), and Saturday (anytime).

4. When completing attempts, you'll use an app on your iPhone or Android smartphone to take a photo. The photo will have the GPS coordinates and date/time embedded in it as proof that you completed the attempt/service.

5. After the service is completed, you'll sign an Affidavit of Service attesting to when, where, and how you served the documents.

While the primary function of this position is to serve legal documents, you will sometimes perform related services such as visiting courts to file or retrieve documents, posting legal notices in public places, attending foreclosure sales to bid on behalf of the bank, and other similar duties.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. You'll be paid a flat rate for each job that you complete starting at $25.00 per job completed. While this position does not have an hourly pay rate or mileage rate, you have the potential for significant earnings! This is a great way to supplement your income.

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 18 years of age
- Resident of the State of New York
- Valid New York State Driver License with acceptable driving history
- Reliable vehicle that is registered and insured in New York State
- iPhone or Android Smartphone
- Availability during all required service timeframes (6 AM - 8 AM, 9 AM - 5 PM, 6 PM - 10 PM, and Saturday); you do not need to be available during each timeframe every day
- Ability to regularly print documents, including large documents up to 150 pages
