Better Brittle
Better Brittle, West African Style Peanut Brittle is a sweet peanut snack popular across West Africa.
We make it in small batches in our kitchens in Syracuse, NY from fair trade and all natural ingredients.
Brenda is a long time customer and we were happy to become her customer recently. She was able to save us some money and provided fast and friendly service! We are grateful she selected Better Brittle to feature and partner with Better Brittle for "Adopt a Small Business Week". Thank you, Brenda!
We will not be at the regional market on 12/26.
We wish you and yours all the joy and peace of the season.
We will not be at the Regional Market tomorrow (11/28) due to a scheduling conflict. We will see you at the market next week. Feel free to contact us for any brittle emergencies in the mean time.
Yes! We are at the market Saturday mornings 7-1:00. This week we are outdoors in the “B line” (the big doors are up in all the open buildings to allow airflow). The B Line is the open air row between the A and C sheds.
It’s not like old times (back in February) when we would chat for a while, but we will be happy to help you from a distance and get you what you need.
You can pay online (choose the no cost “pickup” option to pick up during Sat. Market hours). We accept cards and cash on site.
Stay well and see you at the market.
The Saturday farmers market will continue to remain OPEN 7am-2pm every Saturday. However, our Sunday Flea Market will be CLOSED until further notice. .
We ask that all visitors remember to be courteous to allow safe distancing between yourself and others, be respectful of vendors and their safety and safety precautions, and that if you feel ill or have possibly been exposed to the virus that you please stay home. .
Also, please remember that this is NOT a social gathering, this is a food and grocery source. Wishing health and safe shopping to everyone at this time!

Packing up at the farmers market a customer asks, "Do you know of anyone in this building who sells beets?"
"You might try the farmers across the aisle."
I get a baffled look, like I've made a completely absurd suggestion.
"Noooo, Beats... by Dr. Dre... the headphones?"
My mistake.
Since the very early days of Better Brittle, Mr. Otieku was generous with his support and encouragement. We will miss his cheerful early Saturday morning visits to the market and his leadership, generosity and kindness in the community.
