Leap of Change Recovery
Leap of Change is a non-12-step support group created in August 2019.
Utilizing positive affirmations, visualizations, mindfulness, meditation and group discussion to assist cultivation of spiritual awareness and progression in ones life and recovery.
Comfort and growth have never been about a balancing act. Too much comfort can lead to boredom, self-absorption, and discontent. You can either be fixed and stagnate or stretch yourself — become uncomfortable — and grow. Choose the latter. Breaking your own mold can only make you stronger and more confident to see what you are made of, both in your professional and personal life. Stretch yourself. Go where you are challenged, where you are asked to become more than you were. That means creating new perspectives, acquiring new skills and pushing boundaries. These tasks may seem more ‘painful’ at first, but you’ll surprise yourself with what you learn. Be intentional about doing things that push further. At the same time, be wary of burnout - the idea is for you to feel even more alive. You have more in you than you know. Challenges help you to grow.

"If you put shame in a Petri dish, it needs three things to grow exponentially: secrecy, silence and judgment. If you put the same amount of shame in a Petri dish and douse it with empathy, it can’t survive," Brene Brown.
Instead of not discussing what is causing you pain, find the courage to talk about it - with an empathetic friend, a therapist or someone who you trust. With awareness and practice.
Little by little we become better at being healthier. Little by little, we get comfortable with our new selves, so we don’t self-sabotage. Little by little we see ourselves differently in the mirror.
So... sending love to all who are struggling to overcome. Sending love to all who are taking the shaky, baby steps. Sending love to those who are talking instead of keeping it all inside.

Have a wonderful day everyone ✌️💕🌎
Releasing the past and fully embracing the present moment allows for greater freedom and joy. ☀️ How do you practice letting go of the past and immersing yourself in the now?
Change your thoughts, change your life. Expect good things, and good things come. Imagine your mind like a garden. In your mind, we have many rows of thoughts, some good, like joy, dreams, goals, happiness, etc. Some rows are negative: hurt, anger, bitterness, drama, envy, etc.
We get to decide which thoughts we water with our attention. What are you watering? As it will grow. This is where our power is to change our lives. Focus on how you are growing your minds garden. Guard the gate to your peace of mind. ✌️💕🌎
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response, lies our growth and our freedom.” - Viktor Frankl
Whenever we choose to pause before reacting, we enter a more mindful state. We gain access to our prefrontal cortex to make thoughtful decisions instead of impulsive ones. We get to choose our response; one that aligns with our values instead of betraying them.
Drop a 💙 if you appreciate the power of the pause.
“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” – Roy T. Bennett
Worry takes us out of the present moment; it hijacks our energy instead of directing it into areas that bring more peace and expansion. But, what if every day was an opportunity to evolve?
Invest your energy into something that contributes to your growth. Focus your attention on the present with mindfulness. With regular practice, mindfulness can help change your pull/addiction to future worries to a stronger association and appreciation of the present moment—as well as help calm your mind, ease stress, and boost your overall mood.
Say YES if you are choosing to focus your energy on creating something better…
