Anyone’s kiddos attend Holy Family? My 11 and 9 year old will be going there this fall entering grade 4 and 6 and would love to maybe set up a casual play date with someone so they could potentially know a familiar face on their first day.

6th Grade Artists Create Animal Tryptics
Our 6th grade students were busy this spring doing drawings of animals in Art class. The tryptic project required them to select the animal they wanted to work with, do three individual drawings, and then mount them together to make a single piece. We posted the first one that was completed (the marlins) back in April because we were so impressed with the work. We very patiently waited as projects were finished throughout May and June. We wanted to be sure to share all of their wonderful hard work. Bravo, 6th Grade!
OOPS! We forgot all about these!
The 4th Grade's last Art project was to design their own colorful and creative guitar. Things were SO BUSY the last few weeks that we couldn't get photos of all the projects but we did get these two girls, who were the first two to be finished. Some how we forget all about these pics... oh well, better late than never!
If You Are In The Gathering Space @ Church -
The nest time you are at church, take a minute to check out the artwork in the Holy Family School case on the left side of the Gathering Space. In their last Art class, our 5th Grade students made some colorful drawings to leave over summer so that the case would not be empty. They created their images with the hope that they would brighten the space and bring a smile to viewers' faces. 🌞
Wishing You a Safe & Happy 4th of July!

The Holy Family Ducks Expand Their Flock
All through the springtime we have been watching our pair of ducks in the garden. And all spring we have been hoping and praying for our couple to become a family.
This morning we were blessed with the first appearance of the ducklings! All seven of them! Perhaps Mama and Papa Duck were waiting for the students to be gone for the summer and it to be a little bit quieter before introducing the babies to the campus. Parents - please show this to the kids as they have been very faithful followers of our HFS family of ducks!

Reader's Theater Is Culmination Of The Year's Work
Today our students from reading groups in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades participated in Reader's Theater productions to show off the reading skills they have been working on this school year. Grade 2 students put on a Reader's Theater production called Counting at the Zoo! The 3rd grade reading group did an excellent job staging a production called A Beary Unusual Pet. While Grade 4 reading students performed a production called Waterworld.
Just what is Reader’s Theater? It is a collaborative strategy for developing oral reading fluency through reading parts in scripts. Students do not need to memorize their part but they will reread the script several times to build familiarity with the language and practice appropriate expression.
Why use Reader’s Theater?
*Students practice reading aloud, which helps improve fluency — the ability to read with accuracy, speed, and expression.
*By performing a script, students gain a deeper understanding of the text, characters, and plot.
*Reader’s Theater involves collaboration — students work together to bring the script to life, fostering teamwork and communication skills.
*The interactive and dramatic nature of Reader’s Theater tends to engage students and make reading a more enjoyable experience.
*Participating in a performance boosts students’ confidence in public speaking and presentation skills.
Great job, everyone! Keep on reading over the summer!
