Back from hiatus with my Fall lineup!
First up this Sunday and the Sunday before Halloween I will be bringing bread and cookies for their lazy Sundays!
Then the sourdough subscription is back on for November with two bread days and cranberry walnut making the rounds again. Order on my website, link in the bio.
And finally I will be joining forces with again for a thanksgiving pop up! There will most likely be rolls and I will probably eat most of them myself!
13 loaves before shaping
I havenāt made croissants in years but itās always on my to do list. I think mastering sourdough breads and laminated pastry dough is the core to running the micro bakery in trying to become and so Iām really happy with the results of dipping my toes back into butter world. I donāt think there will be croissants for sale anytime soon or at least until I get a proper laminator to help speed up the process but one day!
Until then order from my bread subscription and you might get a free test croissant or cookie one week with your bread ;P

I have a logo! The cutest little bat with a wheat stalk for a body. sent me the first draft of this logo out of the blue and I fell in love with the idea, itās been done for months now but I kept trying to dream some fun way to reveal it or maybe I would finally pick some colors for branding but that can all come later! Itās time to get it out there and let you all enjoy. Thank you so much to Spencer for your creativity and for listening and integrating so much of what I was looking for to represent my business.

Now that I am swimming in Iām excited to announce that Iāll be doing a pop-up at on February 13th! This pre-valentines day pop up will have regular sourdough bread, cranberry walnut bread, and salty browned butter cookies. And cake, so many flavors of cake! š¤¤
Happy New Year and a belated thank you to everyone who came to the pop up and helped me SELL OUT! Such an amazing feeling and so glad I got to do it before the snow and ice fortnight.

Rofco B40 oven and proofing baskets. The oven that almost never came. I ordered it August 2020 and it arrived July 2021. Itās a lovely work horse and itās made my life so much easier. After this popup on Friday I will make the final payment on this oven which will feel amazing. And Iāll finally be able to start paying myself after two years of investing in my business. š„³
Just finished my last week of bread subscriptions for 2021. I am so so grateful to have been able to bake for so many of you this year, Iām always learning even when Iām on autopilot some weeks, working with sourdough is leaning into the changes of weather, temperature, humidity, and hectic schedules, not fighting it. Every week is different and I wouldnāt have honed this skill in a lifetime of baking for myself. I think Iāve baked over 1,000 loaves this year which is insane.

If you buy a dozen youāll get them like this in a foil pan that you can easily pop into the oven to warm back up for dinner. Thinking deeply these days about what it would look like to take baking full time, how I would afford health insurance, the free therapy I would have to get from friends, and the stability I would lose that I worked hard for. But then thereās the personal growth Iād get from being challenged daily, leaning into the connections Iāve built in Tacoma, and just doing something different. Devoting one day a week to this is great but I want to do more, more bread flavors, more pastries, more immersion so maybe itās time. š¤·š»

I did my first ever market! It was only kinda scary and intimidating and overwhelmingā¦ Thank you so much to for hosting a great market for all the small businesses that have come through their program, being around friends made it all that much better. Thank you to Bernard Woodworks (bernardwoodworks.com) aka my friend Zach who shared a booth with me and made our space feel like a cute living room. They are so talented. I ended up having people do donations to to support Afghan refugees in exchange for bread. A lot of people gave me cash while others donated directly and together I we raised over $300. Thank you all for the support and I canāt wait to do more markets and pop-ups in the coming year.
