TAPCO is excited to announce the groundbreaking of a new, upgraded branch in Frederickson. While we currently have a branch in the area, this new full-service location, complete with a drive-thru, will significantly enhance our ability to serve this rapidly growing community. The branch is designed to offer greater convenience not only to Frederickson residents but also to the many individuals working in the Employment Center. Additionally, the building will feature a community space for local groups to meet and retail space available for lease, further contributing to local employment opportunities.

When TAPCO's original Frederickson branch opened in June 2020, it marked the first credit union presence in the area. This new location is envisioned as a community hub, underscoring our commitment to growing alongside the community. This branch represents more than just a physical building; it continues our legacy of service and reaffirms our dedication to the people of Tacoma and the South Sound. Here, we will uphold the values of integrity, compassion, and community that have guided us for the past nine decades.

A fantastic team of volunteers gathered at Point Defiance Park rolling up their sleeves to prepare for new, vibrant landscaping near the entrance. Wildflowers, pollinator plants, and low-growing shrubs will be placed on the hillside to design a safe, harmonious environment for animals and people alike.

This event was part of Metro Parks Tacoma - Park Appreciation Day presented by TAPCO Credit Union, Together, we spruced up parks across Tacoma, planting native greenery and tackling invasive species. Thank you to everyone who joined in making our parks more beautiful!

Team TAPCO was out at Franklin Pierce High School in Midland this week to take part in the Class of 2024 Distinguished Senior Interviews.

A senior interview is a necessary component of the high school and beyond plan and is required for graduation. The Distinguished Interviews are specifically for students opting to contend for the Distinguished Senior Portfolio. Successful candidates will earn a special graduation cord, receive accolades during the Senior Awards and Graduation Ceremonies, and have the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship!
