First, thank you for your continued support over the past 17 years; we remain open because of you. The recent years posed challenges, like many, due to rising material prices. Unfortunately, to sustain operations, we need to adjust our pricing. Experiences will now range from $95 to $195 for our Specialty Experiences. The exciting news is we can introduce other options like ages 6+ for Tier 1 & a little solid pumpkin, a specialty experience with a cactus, and fun Sip & Create events, crafting new items like a pint glass.
We hope you experience the magic of Glassblowing 2024!
Over the past 17 years, we have had countless people participate in The Glassblowing Experience. What we've learned is that you'll undoubtedly have a great time, especially if you focus on the creative process rather than the outcome of your glass. If you desire a perfect piece, you might consider purchasing a finished work from one of our artists. We invite you to join us in the magic of blown glass, hoping you'll relish every step from choosing your item to picking it up once it has cooled. We offer The Glassblowing Experience Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays by appointment.

However we are grateful to announce that everyone is safe and our Moana Glass Studio is still standing. Long time, no newsletter. But don’t worry this will make up for it. Buckle your seatbelts and grab a snack, this is a long one!

We’re doing 4 Glass Pumpkin Patches this year. Come see us:

Can’t make it to one of our patches? That’s ok! We’ll be back at the Waterfront Market at Ruston in Tacoma on September 1st! We’ll be open there during the week and on weekends 10am-6pm, so shopping is easy. Still can’t get enough of us? Starting in early August, we will have a whole new collection of pumpkins on our website!
*Pumpkin Workshops
Pumpkin Workshops will operate a little differently this year. Instead of a morning and afternoon option, there will be two morning and two afternoon options. Instead of working with a partner for 4 hours, you will work one on one with your glassblower for 2 hours. You will still be making 5 pumpkins, the set up is just a little different.
Sign Ups are on Thursday, June 29th starting at 9:30 am. When you call, you’ll reach our voicemail. Leave us a message with your top two choices of times and dates and we’ll return the calls in the order they were received. These workshops are $300 and require a deposit of $150 plus tax on the day you book.
Workshops dates (all days have 8:30, 10:30, 1:30 and 3:30 appointment times, 3 openings for each time slot)

Another change to workshops this year is that we are discontinuing our Ornament Workshop. I know this is sad news for a lot of you, but we’re hoping to ease your pain by offering lots of our Snowman Glassblowing Experiences. These are hour long classes where you get to work with two glassblowers create your very own Snowperson for $160 per person. You can call to book these anytime, no special sign up or deposit needed.

*2023 Annual Collector Pumpkin
Introducing our 2023 Annual Collector Pumpkin! This is different from any other annual pumpkin we’ve ever done.
This pumpkin is olive green with an orange crackle pattern overlay and a green mix stem.
These are available TODAY in our gallery and online in our $45 and $65 sizes. The rest of our sizes will be available September 1st and will be available at our gallery, at Ruston and all of our Pumpkin Patches!

*Introducing our new “little”!
In order to bring you more variety than ever, we’ve streamlined our sizes. We’ve combined the $25 mini size and the extra small $35 size to create our new $30 “little” size. These solid pumpkins are larger than the mini, but slightly smaller than the extra small. This enables us to create more color choices for you and try new things that we haven’t had time for in previous years. This will also help to keep pricing steady while still providing the beautiful art glass pumpkins you’re used to.
On that note, this year we are increasing the price of our two-tone pumpkins by $5. This is the first time we have ever raised prices on our pumpkins. This price increase reflects the extra time and effort of it takes to make this popular style.

We know this is a lot of changes for one year and we cannot thank you all enough for your years of support. We want to stay as transparent as possible while still providing fun and interesting experiences and beautiful art glass.
