I came in early this morning to get some paperwork done and yesterday when I left, my office was a mess! I found these parked in the back corner of our office early this morning, and of course I knew who they belonged to Answers a lot questions I have had here in the office😉. Explains how my office was swept clean over night. They all work so hard and get everything right, but are always twitching their noses. Makes sense now.😉 Happy and safe Halloween everyone!!👻🎃

Happy Boss’s Day 2024!! Thank you to the absolute Best Team! Everyday, they take tremendous care of me, our patients, families and all the details that allows us to do what we do so well. Today they completely surprised me with balloons, gracious notes about working here as a team and of course cake!! So grateful to work with each of them as partners in this journey of life. They are amazing!

23 years later and we can never forget! If you have never been to the 9/11 Memorial, you should! It’s heartbreaking and inspirational! Grateful for the blessings of this life and the people who sacrifice to preserve them #911

Tonight we viewed the Aurora Borealis with the crescent moon on the horizon. Author and philosophist John Peterson suggests: “Something supersedes thinking, despite its truly awesome power. When existence reveals itself as existentially intolerable, thinking collapses in on itself. In such situations—in the depths—it’s noticing, not thinking, that does the trick.” In that vein, despite all the craziness that goes on in our lives, the beauty of this spectacle requires me to pause and notice this fortunate event and stop thinking so much, especially about things that can’t matter compared to this awesomeness!

The team is getting the day off for the holiday but our UPS driver delivered 41 Invisalign cases today while I’m here getting some clinchecks done!😳😬. We are ready for your new smile when you arrive to your next appointment!

Halloween was sooo much fun at the office today. The team jumped forward in time to be fun little old grannies. Janice and I jumped backwards in time to when we were young to be teenagers. Such fun to share with patients and their parents. Have a great halloween and be safe!!

Yesterday was Boss’s day and I am filled with gratitude for the team we have! They totally surprised me with a tower of diet coke and cards from each one of them individually that really touched my heart. I love this team and these ladies are amazing to take such great care of myself, our patients and their families. My heart is full today!!

Honored to be asked to speak at the 105th annual American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons meeting in San Diego. Teaching about an orthodontist’s perspective on palatally impacted canines; How we can coordinate with our oral surgeon colleagues to give best outcomes for our patients. Sharing the podium with friend and esteemed oral surgeon Dr. Guillermo Chacon.

The anniversary of my brother’s passing is today. He was smarter than I, more athletic and certainly more compassionate. Though he’s my younger brother, he was who I looked up to for guidance and advice. It has become obviously evident that mental health is a crisis in our world. Bryan suffered from these challenges for a very long time and could not overcome them, which is a tragedy as he was a blessing to all he encountered. 13 years has passed and the state of mental health medicine does not seem more advanced than it was then. I am hopeful that can change with more awareness. God bless you Bryan, we miss you. ***deprevention ***de ***deawarness

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! It's been a blessing over the past 28 years to get to know so many dads come through the office. But a special THANK YOU to the one that makes me proud to say, I want to be just like you. Luckily I get to be called father as well and am grateful for the loving relationship with my daughter who makes her dad proud every day and with Janice’s kids that adds four more to my many blessings. And finally, I have the privilege to share a third generation of fatherhood with Wells and Frances who someday soon can call me Pappa

Happy Mother's Day to all moms!! It's been a blessing over the past 28 years to get to know so many moms come through the office. My favorites though are of course these two!! When two moms make a right.

Excited to speak next Tuesday to the Pierce County Dental Society! I have lectured and taught extensively to a great number of prestigious groups, but I really enjoy it the most when I get the chance to share locally within my own hometown to friends and colleagues who I work with day to day and make what we do at our office possible.

It is Administrative Assistants Day and we love our front office Team! We could not do what we do without them. These young ladies are so kind, patient and professional. It is a privilege to work WITH them everyday!

The Easter bunny (Dr. Knight and Janice😉) came early to the office and left lots of goodies. Thank you you for the treats and hope everyone has a blessed Easter!🐣😁🙏
