Hello lovely people 💚 long time no see!
A lot has changed since I last posted a selfie.. and not just my hair 😂

I wanted to hop on here and give you all an update on what the future of my business will look like :)

After some heavy consideration and lots of tears & talks.. I’ve come to the conclusion doing this full time is taking away my passion for artistry.

Going forward I’m going to be selective about who I take on as clients and closing my books for full wedding parties.
I’ll post more of what that entails on my website in a few days!

Putting myself first has never been my strong suit and I’m grateful for the support you all have given me.. especially when I decided to go full time. 🥹💞

For my regular and returning clients.. you’ll still be able to book me for your special moments! I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you still come and see me for your Christmas cards, birthdays, photo shoots, special events.. etc.
Being involved in your memories is not something I take for granted 🥲

Not a goodbye…. Just a “I’ll see ya when I’m lookin at ya.” 😘

Although today doesn’t feel happy in the slightest.. I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am of my community. The resilience, the courage.. we will NOT be erased. We are here to stay 💗

I’ve been in tears off and on all week.
How are you going to look someone in the eye and tell them that a person expressing themselves is more dangerous to than a GUN?!

I am tired. We are tired. We just want to live our lives.

I asked Meg to switch her color at the last minute due to a model that couldn’t make it.. and I’m definitely not angry about the switch up 😍 she made it happen without hesitation 🥹

“Often in q***r spaces, as a mostly femme presenting woman, I worry about “not looking gay enough” or that my sexuality doesn’t align with how I should look or dress. This pride shoot was an essential reminder that there is no one way to be gay! We are brought together by our shared q***r experience, and not just the way we present ourselves. It took me a very long time to be comfortable in my femininity and my sexuality, to accept that they do not need to be mutually exclusive, and this photoshoot allowed me to express and celebrate both.

It was an incredible experience to share a safe space with other members of the LGBTQ community, to celebrate our q***rness and our individuality, and to hold compassion for our past selves who may have only dreamed of being able to show up in the way we did.” - Meg ❤️

Creating a makeup look for Red without making them feel dysphoric was super important for both of us.
I’m so grateful they trusted me to capture their essence in an artistic way.. even if makeup isn’t something they’re comfortable with. It goes to show.. makeup has no binary!

I used hydro-liners + white colorfix for this look

I asked Red to write about their experience at this photoshoot. Here’s what they had to say:

“Trans visibility is an act of courage that is often not discussed. There are some days I feel more courageous than others. Being visibly trans to me means showing people like me that there is a future for them. One with fun and laughter. One with love and acceptance. One where they won’t always feel like they stand out and don’t fit in. This photoshoot was specifically important and special because there is not enough representation in the media for trans nonbinary individuals. To know I was a part of creating more of that media and visibility is something I will cherish. We have always been here and are here to stay and this photoshoot encompasses that beautifully. 🏳️‍⚧️”
