This past week we have watched how the devastating wildfires have spread through parts of the island of Maui shaking the community to its core. Our thoughts continue to be with those on the island as they continue to stay safe from the fires, and to the individuals whose lives have been affected by the fires. August 14th-August 18th we will be doing a supply drive to send items to the Boys & Girls Clubhouse in Maui. They are in need of Personal Hygiene Items, Non-Perishable Foods, Bedding, Diapers, and Kid's Clothing. All donations will be sent to the Boys & Girls Club in Maui. If you would like to donate to the supply drive please get in contact with Branch Manager Makenzie White (253-502-4631) or drop off any items at Al Davies Boys & Girls Club. All donations are appreciated! Thank you.

Thank you US Oil & Refining Co for volunteering to spend time with our Al Davies Branch youth today! Their volunteers organized science activities like launching rockets, making slime, and freezing things with liquid nitrogen. And they provided a pizza lunch for our Club members. Thank you for your support and involvement giving kids special experiences!

Safety update -- Today, Tuesday, August 8th, there was an active shooter incident near the Al Davies Branch, but the situation is now all clear and everyone is safe. Tacoma Police Department arrived immediately and the Club was in temporary lockdown. We appreciate TPD's great response keeping our kids safe, which is our highest priority.

Starting June 26, middle and high school students of Tacoma Public Schools will have a free place to get dinner and hang out with friends. Summer Late Nights will run from 5pm-10pm every weeknight this summer!
