Glazing quick SQUARE
Painting a thin glaze of green over the city here in oil, making the layers of acrylic all mesh together. This also knocks down some of the areas that were too dark, so there's the added benefit of kicking back the background. I'll have to add some more layers after I make my adjustments, but it's adding the atmosphere that I'm looking for. Still finding that oils make me pretty uncomfortable to use, but each day I'm learning more. Here's to getting better by showing up 🤟

I don't quite recall what inspired this one. It's made with three colors, and, honestly, it is so much fun limiting supplies. Less pressure? Taking decision-making out of the process is freeing to the process. #pyschology (maybe). I do remember that the main statue was just a broken pillar in the reference I had, and as I worked it looked like a person. So I painted it like that and it transformed into a piece with a bit more story...
