Day 1 of showing is done. We did extremely well taking Champion Ram, Champion Ewe, Best Pair and the Flock Cup for the Romneys. Tomorrow we go out to compete for the Puyallup cup. We be competing against all the other breeds for the best overall. Huge thank you Iron Water Ranch and Paige Andersen all their help!!!

Clark County Fair was great. Sweetums our Glen Leight AI ewe lamb did very well taking Best Headed Romney as well as Reserve Champion Ewe.

Bred white Romney ewes! We have extra ewes this year, ages 3 to 6 years of age available. Great genetic lines, will be breeding with a new ram we produced here on the farm that has Ram Hill and Aurora AI imports in his pedigree. Elaine calls the ram her chunk. Papers available on request.

New venue, should be a much better experience for all.

Absolutely love these dogs. They have made life on the farm so much easier. No more being mauld by the sheep at feeding time. They are eager to learn and great companions.
Rusty is the serious big brother and Speckles is the typical little brother, goofy and mischievous.

Day 1 of a series of severe storm fronts that are rolling in. Power was out for about 5-6 hours. Sounded like the house was being sandblasted between the wind and rain. Walked out to find 2 shelters and a fence destroyed. Thankfully all the animals are okay.
Another front came in just before sundown and cranked up the winds from windy to knock you down nasty.
Snow level dropping to sea level with air temps that won't get above freezing. Be safe out there!!

Show season 2023 is in the books. Thompson 2211 Sapphire was undefeated in the yearling ewe class with another Grand Champion Ewe ribbon from OFFF this year. Thompson 2303 Andrew continued his winning streak taking home Grand Champion Ram. Thompson Romneys also won the Flock class.
We are so excited about how these AI genetics have improved our flock! Can't wait to see how the next generation grow!
