You didn’t even know we had an archive page did you?? Spend some time on the site over the next couple of days and do a little deep dive into what we do as a brand. The product we make has intentional design and aesthetics but what we value most, and can see our audience does as well, is quality. We care about how our items are put together properly and built with intention to last. There’s no way for us to become the heritage brand we will be if our T-shirt isn’t heavyweight ring-spun and able to be passed down to a young niece who discovers her love for graphic design cause of her favorite vintage T-shirt. This isn’t to say that we haven’t made and won’t continue to make missteps, that’s part of the business and the nature of growth but minimizing those moments is key to moving forward. Keep your hands on our fleece is only going to get better and more important to our storytelling as a brand. We poured into the anorak and built a market for it, moving forward we’ll control that more closely. We were once owners of a sock company and so it feels good to get back to producing quality staples. Socks were a top selling item for us in Club907 during our “Crew” socks era and while being a consistent 40s and Shorties stockist. We stopped carrying other brands and our Midwest sock manufacturers went out of business all at the same time, it was this year that socks made it back to being a top line item again. Truly a metaphor for being consistent with our mainline and sticking to the script, we wrote a classic; we just need to keep it in rotation.

The team pulled it together this year. At the end of year meeting today signs of the growth showed in so many ways. The top guns praised the new bull, mid-management gave thoughtful and succinct reviews of their performance and the jokes were to a minimum. Change has arrived. The 10 year is here in our eyes and stepping into a defining season with the team we have built and kept small purposely feels amazing. There’s no guessing, the wheels are working and the bonding is present. Trust. It happens with time.

Most of the crew has been together even prior to Club907 when all the puzzles pieces were still scattered. Our most recent addition JWaash is a true testament to standing on business about the ethos of the company. He was the kid in line. His uncle took him once and he’s been a real head ever since and one of the youngest. Now he’s rookie of the year training under the man you all love to see - Daz. Daz was once the high school kid who had the entrepreneurial spirit and saw the cool first. Our first first-adopter became the store manger and grew within his post to become events and community engagement coordinator. As much as we are learning new things everyday about being owners we are learning how to nurture and release talent back into the Tacoma wild.

We see some potential in the youth that cruise through the 116 nowadays and that’s exciting but we understand first and foremost that they gotta be all way bought in before they ever get brought in.

The work is in the traditions, the goal is heritage.

This photo is proof. We chose Indo Asian Street Eatery as the spot for our End of Year dinner and the staff and amazing boss man rolled out the red carpet treatment upon our arrival. A special bottle from his personal collection and few extra dishes that were very necessary to rounding out our palates properly. Excellent experience. Tacoma loves Tacoma.

We are on the backend of the Holiday cheer and that means the ball is still in the customers court. There are still rarewear items floating around the shop from the last holiday drop, veeeerry slim pickings from the pre-holiday release and surprisingly some Every End fleece is still around 👀. The flannel or whatever is left of the great TACOMA sweatsuit because the rainbow embroidery went in a day and a half. The love has been overwhelming this holiday season and just via Q4 in general. It’s been so heavy that’s it’s been hard to focus on anything else. We felt the responsibility to be dialed in and we held on tight to that accountability. It showed itself and during the 253 sale we found affirmation in standing on business and allowing last chance access before 2024 takes off full sprint. A strong finish. 50% OFF.

We enjoy this day every year because it’s the one day that, we have found, EVERYONE is in the spirit. There are smiles from ear to ear on moms dads and all the siblings. The shop has been turnt up!! Looots of last minute shopping and we love it. In the past our thoughts were more, “why don’t they understand limited edition??” and less “we need to space this out accordingly.” Times have changed and so have we, spacing things out not only caters to our shopper’s experience, preferences and habits it allows us time to scale up the quality a bit every time and not rush the process. This is the perfect product to end the year and the whirlwind of releases this December. Last year we told ourselves that we would release less product but better product and release it a bit faster than we usually do. Last year we also experimented with bi-weekly drops in an attempt to get Tacoma up-to-speed with our extended audiences that are used to streetwear brands attempting the once a week release in hopes of getting Suspreme like results. However our efforts are about curating the independent brand culture in Tacoma, rules of engagement give people a guideline for where to start and starting is all that matters - at first. Then you bring on consistency as you learn your version of it. Everyone and every brand has a different version btw. Ok now we’ve said too much… or maybe we said just enough??

But one thing that doesn’t is our love for Tacoma and this year it’s been clear that more Tacomans are finding us faster. Our brand is eTceTera and soon it will be a synonym for Tacoma but that work starts with showing you. You need to know our level of quality and representation before you can see it as a synonym as well. We are happy to oblige.

It’s really glorious to watch this sale grow since we’ve started it. It was so spontaneous how it all began. We were looking for something to cause a little excitement during the holidays - the first one was chaos. The offering for Holiday 2023 has been very straightforward. We started with a Pre-Holiday release to keep the drop this weekend from being overwhelming. There was a lot of fleece produced for the month of December and it’s all still made in limited quantities. Our ethos has always been volume in variations not in single item quantities. We often want to make a bunch of different ideas and not a bunch of them for pace sake - we want to get on to the good parts. It’s most exciting during Holiday season because it allows us to drop faster and more consistently as things sell out the demand remains high. Couple more moments to get your hands on the heat - make sure you peep our schedule on the stories.

Demand always pushes us. When your business concept is built on limited editions demand is the fuel for forward. It’s always curious to us how it’s the things we are being unserious about or intentionally poking fun at that seem to sprout legs of their own and capture the attention of our following. We are currently chalking it up to juxtaposition. But as we continue to grow and see what else is available on the market we should pause and give ourselves a pat on the back for our design sensibilities and intuitions. Our efforts were to have a little fun and be inclusive.

Stepping out of our comfort zone works when we let it happen in conversation - that leads to new perspectives and that leads to new designs. This is our first time embroidering this design and our first time putting it on fleece, heavyweight 14oz fleece. A treat for us all this gift giving season.

This is part of why we can’t contain our excitement with this lastest round of fleece you’re getting this 2023 Holiday season - because of this color. We have never been able to make a full burgundy/oxblood fleece before because it didn’t exist on the market - and we love that. We love it because it provides plenty of runway space for us to land with our ideas. The burgundy alternates are Tacoman historically. When it comes to the garment itself you’ve seen this shape before, it’s the one we’ve produced most this year so it’ll fit you without worry. The rarity in the delivery, on this one, is the customized colorway. We are growing to love “inching along” in the way we have, it’s meant a lot to take our time in moments when we weren’t quite sure that we should but Tacoma naturally provides a pace that doesn’t beg for immediate action, it’s far more calculated.

As we approach Winter break for the youth and vacation season for the well-off we have observed over the past few years the advantage to giving our following a heads up. Above are the drop dates for the rest of eTc 2023. Our 253 sale almost didn’t make it this year but after reworking the Black Friday/Cyber Monday bins we feel there is still enough heat that somebody will gladly fall in love with at area code pricing. The culminating energy for 2023 is tradition. We gave our best effort at engagement throughout the first half of year 9, there’s even something happening after the drop this Saturday that will extend the shop hours to 9PM!!

We have been previewing this blanket specifically for almost 2 years now. That wasn’t our intention but that’s how the proverbial cookie crumbled this time around. The story goes: we dropped our first blanket and it went nutso. So much so that we made a second run to fill the heightened demand. We don’t do that by nature and we usually double down on not doing it in business but it was the juxtaposition of the customer that catered to our curiosity enough to do a few more. It was old ladies and soccer moms and while we have some incredible soccer mom custies that are real ‘heads’ whether you want to believe it or not, it was the additional demand from their mothers that pushed us. How amazing for a kid to walk into his Grandmother’s den and see the ill lifestyle accessory they couldn’t afford from their favorite brand hanging off the back of the couch. What a reminder and affirmation that your DNA is top tier.

So this second blanket was produced with new intentions. It’s a bridge and a common denominator in a way we didn’t expect but are extremely grateful. Generations of Tacoma will share this - the only lingering question is how many?!?! Nothing’s cooler. 60 x 80 inches.
