Sean's Anime & Other Things
Formed by Sean Kemp, a long time Anime fan in Tacoma, WA, Sean's Anime & Other Things helps Anime Fans find the merchandise they are interested in.
We have Anime model kits and tools, plushes, wallscrolls, figures, trading figures, DVDs, manga, and more! We also show anime every couple nights and welcome our customers to come and hang out at the store with us and their friends at any time.
Well, we are off to Japan again.
Both Stephanie and I are going to be searching through as many shops as possible to find goods we know you'll like.
I will be posting pictures of what we're able to find.
Our friends Jason, Allen, Elton and Tim's will be keeping the store open while we're away. Feel free to swing by and say hello and maybe puck up some great anime goodies while you're at it.
We will be returning on March 25th. This means there will be very little time from when we get back until we pack up for Sakura-Con.
As 2023 comes to a close, we at Sean's Anime want to thank everyone who has helped us make this one of our most successful years ever.
For anyone who has been into the store lately, you may have noticed we have been flooded with a ton of merchandise.
So to celebrate the success of 2023 and help make room for more great items in 2024, we are running an End of Year sale on many great items.
To see everything on sale visit our website at https://seansanime.com/links/year-end-sale/
The sale will run through January.

Hey all, gonna open a little late today due to some dumb traffic problems. Hopefully be good to go by 1230.
A small arrival today. We finally have some figures in from the One Piece Film Red, including Uta! We've also added a new design for Nezuko to our line up. Come on by for your favorite characters and look forward to the BIG shipment we're getting in later this week~
The Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial has finally arrived! Along with it comes the MG Zeta Ver Ka, an action figure of the VF-25 F Super Messiah Valkyrie from Bandai's DX Chogokin line, Skeletor in Nendoroid form, some exciting new SH FiguArts, and more! As always, check out the pictures below (and keep an eye on the website since I don't quite have everything uploaded yet).
Due to the extreme popularity of the Witch from Mercury series, we have chosen to limit this initial order of the FM Aerial to one per customer, but we'll be ordering more as often as we can. Thank you for your understanding.
Some more model kits have arrived! We have two versions of the Trueno from Initial D, the MG Hi-Nu Ver Ka, the MG Wing Zero EW Ver Ka, and more back in stock. We've also added two more kits: the Gattai Atlanger Omega and the Mach 7 from Speed Racer. Check them on our website or come on by the store to see what else is on the shelves~
Lots of very exciting Blu-Ray arrivals today, including the new Blue-Ray release of the classic OVA series, Gunbuster!
The Gunbuster Blu-Ray includes the brand new English dub, fully remastered video and 5.1 audio.
In addition, we got Kodocha part 2, Project A-Ko part 4, Wind Named Amnesia, Lupin III Angel Tactics, Ultimate Muscle and more.
Swing by Sean's Anime in Tacoma or visit our website at http://www.seansanime.com to grab these or any of the other great anime goods we have in stock.
We've been getting in a lot of restocks lately, so I wanted to take a second to highlight some of the new items that have snuck their way into the store over the last month or so! In particular we finally have the MGSD Freedom in stock, the Blue Eyes White Dragon model kit, a set of trading figures from One Piece Film Red, a figure of Uryu Ishida from Bleach's Solid and Souls figure line to go with the Ichigo we also got in a bit ago, and a figure of Optimus Prime from Flametoys' Furai Action figure line!
There's tons more in the images so make sure to check them and our store out.
Another day, a bunch more items found.
Found more CDs, a few more charms and some nice figures, including a brand new Chainsaw Man figure of Power (we were able to find 1 shop with it at a reasonable price and snagged several.)
Tomorrow I shall be shipping back a few more boxes, then heading out to find as much more that I can. Only a few days left before we fly back home (flying back on the 29th.)
Another trip to Nakano and Ikebukuro. Picked up more cels, CDs, charms and a few figures (just more copies of one's we already found.)
Trip isn't over yet. A few more days of hunting ahead.
Back from Kyoto, that means more hunting.
Found these figures and a bunch of charms after getting back from Kyoto.
Also found a box of Chainsaw Man trading figures that come with bath powder.
No anime shopping today and tomorrow since we are visiting Kyoto, but I figured I'd share some of what we saw.
First visits, Nijo Castle and Kinkakuji (the Golden Pavillion.)
Did a bunch of shopping today. Picked up a bunch of CDs, some more figures and a bunch of charms.
I'm including a picture of the current mountain of stuff in my room waiting to be packed and shipped off (this is after we have already shipped out 6 boxes.)
The next 2 days we will be heading down to Kyoto to be tourists and visit some cultural sites, so there will be a break in new finds. We'll try to post a few photos from our time there.
Once we get back, it will be back to the hunt.
Most of today was spent recovering from the last several days at LA Qua Spa in Tokyo Dome City, but then it was back to searching.
We found a bunch of really nice CDs, including some from Utena, Lupin III, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion and more.
Tomorrow we head down to Yokohama for some touristy things (moving full size Gundam.) We might find some stuff while we're down there, but not expecting much.
Sorry for not keeping up with posts, but we've been busy digging through shops finding great stuff.
We shipped back 3 full boxes of Gunpla from Gundam Base and still have more to send out.
So far we've found over 80 figures, from various series including Hololive, Yu Yu Hakusho, One Piece, Chainsaw Man and more.
We have also filled a bag with over 600 charms and gachapon.
This picture is the pile in my room waiting to be packed.
Another day full of shopping.
Today we found several nice figures, more soundtracks and picked up a ton of charms (not pictured.)
Tomorrow we are off to Gundam Base Tokyo to see if we can grab a few kits to bring back.
First shopping day on this trip.
First stop was Nakano Broadway to dig through the cel dealers. A few nice finds, but prices have definitely creeped up, especially for popular series.
A quick trip through other shops and found some nice figures and a few CDs.
Some fresh (and not so fresh) model kits are here! Bandai's version of the YF-19 is here in 1/100 HG form! We also got in a few of the matching decals that were newly created to go with the kit. Our other new item is 2 of the new sets that for Round Vernian Vifam that Bandai is putting out. The other 2 are still in production and will arrive later.
In not so new things that we wanted to show off, there are 3 Moderoid kits for Granzort, the Beguir-pente and Pharact from Witch from Mercury, and the Madox-01, also by Moderoid.
Our shelves continue to be stuff to the gills, so come on by and check everything out or look on the website to see if something catches your eye before Sakura-con takes over our sales.
In just one more week, we'll finally be going to Japan again! Here's some information for while we're gone~
What shows would you like to see us bring back animation cels from? We'll naturally be looking for the big shows like Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, etc. but are there smaller shows you'd like to get?
Our temp workers are fans just like you, but they may not be as in the loop about anime or manga. Feel free to ask them questions, or message us on Facebook but please understand that they may not be as adept at finding answers for you as those of us who work at the store full time. Also, since Japan is a 16 hour time difference away we may not be as quick with answering Facebook messages since they will often be sent while we're asleep or busy shopping for those cool figures and kits!
We will be open our normal hours and running our Friday game night and Saturday Build day to the best of our ability, but we may end up filling our tables with overstock depending on what shipments arrive while we're gone. If that happens, we'll do our best to update this post to let you know.
Like previous trips, we'll be posting pictures to give you a preview of what's being bought, but prices will not be set until we are back at the store so please don't ask about pricing or for us to hold items that you are interested in. The best way to get those items is to come by later in the day on the 29th.
We're going to Sakura-con a week after we get back! The store will be closed from April 5th-10th and we'll be doing a lot of work to process product and pack up for it between the 29th and the 5th along with fending off jet lag, so please be kind to us during this time.
This guy came in with his 2 kids. One of the kids really wanted the S.H. Figuarts SS4 Goku, so he waited until I was ringing up another customer then proceeded to stick the figure in his jacket.
If anyone can identify this individual, please let us know.
We are looking for some temporary help in the spring while we travel to Japan! We’re looking for a few people who could help run the store Monday through Thursday from March 13th-29th. Friday through Sunday are already covered.
