John and Tammie have been involved in the care of dogs for over 50 years. If you are interested in learning the industry this is the place.

Compensation is commensurate to experience. Flexible hours are available once fully trained. Paid personal time available based upon hours worked. We build a staff that has our guests in their best interest.

We are looking for a part-time bather and two full-time kennel assistants. Win-Star is a top kennel located in the Tacoma and Puyallup area. John and Tammie have owned the business for 21 years and believe in a safe, secure, clean and pleasant environment for all the pets that stay with them.

Part time bather will need to be able to work Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. Will train, needs to be able to lift 40lbs, clear communication skills, ability to accept feedback. Must have own transportation. We will provide all equipment. This position will work into full time once training is done.

Kennel Assistant is full time. Must have own transportation. Needs to be available weekends, evenings and holidays. Able to work independently and also with others. Duties include cleaning kennels, feeding as prescribed, giving simple medications as prescribed and doing playtimes with our guests. Cross training for the office is available. Will Train in all areas for flexibility.

Time to gather some great knowledge. Another handling seminar at Win-Star Bed and Biscuit. Save the date and sign up early.

WE are going to have freezing temperatures the next couple of nights.
Things to do for your pets: Bring water inside, they will not drink freezing water.
Shorten your pets time outside during the extreme cold.
No pets sleeping outside.
If you have any cats that are outdoor cats that won't come inside. Make an insulated cat sleeping box with two plastic tubs one larger than the other. Cut a hole in both tubs for the cat to climb through. You wrap the inside of the larger tub with a form of insulation. Put the smaller tub inside and place blankets, water and food inside. Close up the containers with their lids.
