The day is meant to share the arts and heritage of different cultures through stage performances, crafts, and other activities. This event provides a center for community, unity, and building connections among one another.
The Chinese Reconciliation Project hopes to spread the messages of reconciliation and cultural harmony through education. Our mission is to provide as much opportunity as we can to show how cultural wealth can unify us all. As we continue to promote our message of inclusion and harmony in diversity, we hope you will continue to participate in the great events we offer to bring our community together!

Tacoma Historical Society, Children's Museum of Tacoma , Job Carr Cabin Museum Tacoma Art Museum, Confucius Institute of the State of Washington, Bellarmine Preparatory School, Tacoma Public Library will be at the Chinese Reconciliation park and provide hands on activities for all!
The 2023 Tacoma Moon Festival is very excited to showcase the Sohoyini West African Dance Company, a Seattle-based ensemble led by Ghanaian drummer and dancer Awal Alhassan. They collaborate with schools, universities, and organizations to share the love of drumming and dancing and teach workshops in the Puget Sound area and other parts of the world.

The Mak Fai Kung Fu Dragon & Lion Dance Association 麥顯輝龍獅團 is Seattle’s premier lion dance troupe, performing hundreds of shows year-round. They aim to enrich and promote lion dancing in the Greater Seattle area and keep the tradition alive by teaching the younger generations in the community.
The 11th Tacoma Moon Festival will be held on Saturday, September 9th, from 1pm-7pm, at the Chinese Reconciliation Park (1741 N. Shuster Parkway, Tacoma).
The Annual Tacoma Moon Festival is a live festival featuring dancers and musicians, artists and craftspeople and hands on activities for kids and the young at heart. Food vendors and the Wine and Beer Garden will feature local food and drink. Visitors can go to the popular teahouse tent to sample varieties of tea. Docents will be on site to lead tours of the park, explaining the tragic expulsion of the Chinese community in 1885 and the City’s commitment to build the park as a place of contemplation and renewal.
Admission remaining free this year! Parking is limited and drivers are encouraged to park up the hill in the parking lots in Old Town and walk down to the park.
