We are incredibly heart broken to hear about the passing of our beloved council member, advocate and friend Cathrine Ushka. Catherine was an incredible woman who fought tirelessly for the advocacy of Tacoma’s south end. Catherine was a beacon of positive change in our community, she was the voice for those of us who felt unimportant or marginalized. Above all else, she was our friend. Cathrine has watched our kids grow up, she has seen us through numerous hardships and her support for us has always been unwavering. This world was a better place because of Catherine. This loss is truly incomparable. We love you so much Catherine, rest easy ❤️.
