Posting this lovely mare before the hunting season takes off for a fox hunt horse deal!! Hunted for MANY seasons as a guest horse and 1st flight field master horse. Fabulous ride. Has a show record in Training eventing and in the 3’ performance hunters, she can do it all! Due to her size not for a beginner but very safe ride.
Pm for info, Tallahassee Florida, 2️⃣5️⃣ 🥕
Day2: Peep the hand..! Big boy let me touch him for the first time during breakfast. He sat there a few seconds, backed up a step, then came back to continue eating which I let him do beside me and in peace!
Day 2 of being here and I was able to put my hand in his food bucket while he ate this morning. He happily ate hay in his stall while I sat outside of it and doesn’t mind me in his space (if I don’t move too much haha)
Yesterday Marin Foster and I had quite the adventure trying to go pick up this beautiful boy. With trees in the road, getting my truck stuck, and the road being blocked by cows the whole adventure took well over 3 hours!
This boy loaded beautifully (with patience and a snack) and settled in quickly at Wild Melody.
He is a 9 yr old gelding from Oregon, never been touched or handled but you can tell he wants to. Yesterday he would take a step towards me debating coming and touching me. I don’t blame him for being hesitant, some humans scare me as well!
Looking forward to his journey and bringing y’all along with it! Thank you Bobbie Brock for the opportunity ❤️

Saint showing off his fancy knees today in the peeing rain! Someone needs to sn**ch this boy up before his price goes up!

Sweet boy that knows his stuff!
Has fox hunted for years in all flights, could easily go back or live a more quiet life teaching a little one or adult ammy the ropes! Easy to ride! Don’t let his age scare you off, he moves and feels like a young dude!
19 yrs old, 16.1/2 ottb gelding. Tallahassee Florida, low 4’s. Would love for him to find his home this week so make me an offer!!
So I had a unique situation come in a couple weeks ago.
Meet Saint Martin aka Saint. His owner unfortunately is in the hospital and does not look to be leaving… Saint is a 19 yr old OTTB and is looking for his new pasture to reside in. Plenty of miles left on this horse! He played paint a pony and Marin was able to practice some of her vaulting on him during camp. I’ve walked and trotted him around the arena tacked and ba****ck with a halter. Seems to be a nice trial horse, especially if he has his friends! Gets along with other horses, easy keeper, sweet as can be! Lunges beautifully!
He is up to date on everything as of this year. Good solid bare feet.
As of right now I’m asking LOW 4’s to ensure a good home but if I start putting training and ride miles on him his price will increase 🙂
I have a few helmets needing new heads! Make offers
This boy has been back from lease since the first of the year in hopes I would start showing him again but unfortunately there are too many horses and not enough me! He is being offered for L or S again in hopes to find a rider to show off his talent!
16.2 AQHA gelding, coming 13.
The good stuff: goes in a snaffle, jumps anything everytime, rides alone, barefoot, fairly easy keeper, schooling 1st/2nd level dressage, has jumped a 4’ course, gets along with everyone, trailers easy, ties well, great for the farrier! No buck/rear/spook.
The less good stuff: gets rushy in stadium so needs a confident rider if going to be jumped. Takes an intermediate rider for the flat!
High 4’s S - mid-low 4’s L. Would prefer a L as I do really want to show this beautiful guy, but good joke for him is top priority. Tallahassee Florida.
Please join us for a spring break camp! Monday - Thurday, 8 am - 3 pm (can extend if needed). Ages 6 - 18! Learned about the horse, horsemanship, for the advanced riders a bit of an intensive, for the littles a lot of opportunities to see what their future in riding holds, and a REALLY fun trail ride (probably to St. Marks) on Thursday! PM if you're interested, I have about 6-8 spots open!
Who doesn’t love perfect weather, a gorgeous horse, an amazing photographer, and cool, comfy, and stylish breeches to go with it! Absolutely love this photo and my Esprit full seat breeches!
If yall want a pair, make sure to check out my code! These pants are affordable, comfortable, and cool for the summer!

- Big - Big Zapple, 13 yr old 17.1 bay gelding. Nice mover. Has roaded hounds and shows great potential for the hunt field. Would make a lovely show hunter. Working on changes. Jumps around bridle-less. Been ridden in the intermediate lesson program and everyone adores him! 8 k
- Sirius - 15.3 bay draft/tb cross. Just turned 8. Has hunted a full season with Live Oak Hounds. Used as a guest horse often and has been hunted by Live Oaks Secretary. Easy horse to hunt. Keeps up in 1st! Has hunted 1st, 2nd, 3rd flight and hilltop. Currently barefoot and sound, has great feet. Scope up to 3’9 and started on changes. Another horse with a great off season job! Has taught intermediate to advanced lessons and schooled cross country. Has a show record in the hunter ring. 12 k
- Impy - Imperial Express, 8 yr old 17.2 bay gelding. What a hunk! Showing in the 2’6 jumpers. Figuring out the whole course thing but has lovely changes and is brave! Hasn’t stopped at a single fence. Would make a lovely event horse. He can be friend sour but as long as he knows you’re boss he’s fine. Really fun horse to ride. Wanted to keep him as my next fox hunter but life had other plans! 8 k
-Martini - Martini Maker, 5 yr old 16.3 bay stallion. Can be gelded before leaving. What a horse!! So much fun to ride and has taught beginner-advanced lessons. Spur ride. Jumps around a 3’ course with almost auto changes and single up to 3’9. Rides with mares on trail rides in a snaffle. One that doesn’t have to school for a show the day before… brave!! Many champion placings! Great ground manners and will be a really fancy hunter horse!! 10 k. S or L
- Canitbe aka Bea - 16 hand strawberry roan ottb mare. Just turned 10. Has hunted with live oak hounds for a whole season in 1st and 2nd flight. Used as a guest horse and one of the favorites. Amazing mare. Could easily be a whip horse or field master horse. On the off season she is eventing, doing 2nd level dressage (working on 3rd), teaching lessons, and used for trail rides. Has jumped courses up to 3’9, has scope for more. Was recent champion on the 2’6 jumpers. Very nice changes and jumps anything you point her to. Would be a awesome chance for a teen who wants to show high levels AND have a sane horse to hunt! 15 k S or L.
- Ryon - 16.1 chestnut AQHA gelding. 12 yrs. Hunted 2 seasons with live oak hounds. Brave in the field, but needs a quiet rider as he has a motor. Off season he’s doing the hunters, jumpers, eventing, and trails. Great horse for a good riding teen looking for a project mount. Is for an experienced rider only! 7.5 k
Perrin- 15.3h 16 yr old bay OTTB gelding. Has been in my lesson program, great lesson mount. Cute guy, would make a cute hunter or nice dressage horse. Has a change. Trail safe. BEGINNER SAFE ** 5k

Jumping into fall: Covid addition 🍂🍁
As many of you already know, WMEC lost a very important member on Wednesday. Through the 2020 show season he never placed anything lower than a Grand Champion. He tried so hard for years as we learned Wednesday he had been battling cancer, but never showed any signs. To my fighter and my best friend, thank you for being the horse you didn’t have to be. I love you Castille.
I think Castille was telling us in Sydney’s lesson today that he may be old, but he’s still got it 😂 this cooler air has all the ponies frisky !
We had a lovely trail ride last weekend with 2 newbies! Blitz was fantastic and Dallas did very well on his first outing! Thank you Lori Culpepper Shanks and Sydney for joining me 🙂
Blitz leading the way on our group walk today!
This past weekend Wild Melody Equestrian Center made its debut at the lovely Forgotten Coast show held at First Flight Farm. Cassie did her first off property show aboard Castille in the Short Stirrup division and did very well! Sydney also aboard Castille made a clean sweep in the intermediate division finishing Grand Champion. I could not be prouder of these girls! Hard work surely pays off.
Thank you parents (and grandparents) of these two amazing girls! And thank you FFF for a great show day! Also thank you Janneke for the great photos!
I love having a drama free barn! Thank you to all my girls for making that possible!
Let's Stop Normalizing Toxic Barn Drama Finding the right barn family isn’t just about finding friends to ride with… it’s about our mental health. I feel like there’s this common theme of “barn drama” and I think we need to break the thought of that being normal. Our horses are our time to find peace and an escape from the wor...
