Meet Jeremiah Davis, the best long jumping NCAA athlete in the country. Davis won two ACC championship events this weekend, the long jump and the triple jump. He set the facility record long jump of 8.02m but currently has the 9th highest NCAA long jump distance of 8.28m. His winning triple jump distance of 16.36m is just another reason why he has been named ACC men’s field player of the week 4 times and counting! 🔥🍢

🌟 'NOLE OF THE WEEK: YORDAN YANCHEV 🌟

Yordan Yanchev has done something this week that hasn’t been done in 11 years. Yordan took home the bronze medal in the 500 free for FSU in the 2023 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. FSU hasn’t had a medalist in the race since 2012. Yanchev qualified at fifth in the 500 free prelims with a time of 4:16.79 nearly beating his season best (4:15.02). Yanchev finished the race in third at a record time of 4:12.97, lowering the FSU record that he set himself in the previous season (4:14.67). Yordan is a junior from Sandanski, Bulgaria where he holds national records in long course 200 free, 400 free, 4x100 free relay, 4x100 medley relay, 4x200 free relay and in short course 400 free, 4x100 free relay, and 4x200 free relay. The record holding swimmer committed to FSU in 2019 where he has continued his record setting career ever since.

🌟'NOLE OF THE WEEK: Charolette Heath🌟

Charlotte Heath, a junior from Bailiff Bridge, England continues to cement her legacy for the Florida State Women’s Golf team. Heath earned the 12th top-10 finish of her career in the Guadalajara Collegiate Invitational shooting an even-par 216 over the course of the three round tournament. This was Heath’s 4th top-10 finish of the 22-23 season. She is well on her way to her third straight All-ACC selection this spring season. The once highly touted international recruit hopes to one day join the LPGA ranks. The Seminoles next test comes in Melbourne, Florida for the Moon Invitational on February 19th. Heath and the ’Noles look to excel once again this weekend! 🔥🍢
