Mateo Rodriguez has been FSU Sailing’s Race Team Captain for the past 3 years, leading the team to compete in two Open Fleet Racing National Championships back to back. Mateo graduated this spring and received two separate degrees in political science and international affairs. Through endless paperwork, travel, coaching, and salesmanship needed to convince people to sail at the Rez, Mateo has been completely dedicated to this team. This past year alone he was deservingly recognized as the FSU Sports Club Member of the Year, as well as SAISA’s Sailor of the Week, 1st Team Skipper, & Undergraduate Leader of the Year. And we would be remiss for not recognizing him ourselves, so thank you Mateo for all that you have done! We are proud to have you as an alumnus and look forward to seeing what you do next.
And of course, as always, GO NOLES!
