We are happy to say we will be present at Pebble Hill Plantation’s 40th anniversary this Saturday September 30th!!

Our 40th Anniversary Celebration, to be held this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., is truly a community effort. We would like to thank the following for their participation and support of this event:

Alex's Lemonade Stand for Childhood Cancer Research and Sharon Johnson and volunteers.
Hands & Hearts for Horses and their staff and volunteers.
The Thomasville Humane Society and their staff and volunteers.

There will be live music, children's activities (face painting, arts and crafts, games), pet parade (bring your canine friends on a leash), FREE ice cream (thanks to Tom Cornish and Blue Bell Ice Cream), lawn games, wagon rides, FREE admission to the Main House (Abbreviated tours. No strollers, pets, or backpacks allowed), door prize drawing, caricature artist (Rich Curtis of Thomas University), and delicious food (for purchase).

Pebble Hill Plantation first opened to the public as a museum in the fall of 1983 and we hope you will join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion. The event kicks off with a special bench dedication ceremony honoring those who have worked and volunteered at Pebble Hill for the past four decades. The ceremony includes Thomasville High School Jr. ROTC Color Guard, dignitaries from the City of Thomasville and Thomas County, and the Reverend James Thompson of Piney Grove Church will deliver our invocation. Following the ceremony, we will have free cake for everyone to enjoy then all of the fun and festivities begin! Here's to the next 40 years!
