Couple days late, but who's counting?

Happy birthday to British-New Zealand actor, writer, musician, and television presenter Richard O'Brien, born March 25, 1942. He wrote the musical stage show The Rocky Horror Show in 1973, and co-wrote the screenplay for The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), appearing on-screen as Riff Raff. He then co-wrote the musical Shock Treatment (1981) and appeared in the film as Dr. Cosmo McKinley.

O'Brien's other credits include Flash Gordon (1980), Robin of Sherwood (1985), The Crystal Maze (1990–1993), Dark City (1998), Ever After (1998), Dungeons & Dragons (2000), Elvira's Haunted Hills (2001) and Lawrence Fletcher on Phineas and Ferb (2007–2015).

The band would like to thank Clayton and Melanie Sembler for inviting us back. We had an absolutely *incredible* time! What a blast of a crowd!

Hey partiers, we haven't played for most of you in a long time. In case you're not paying attention, this week you have TWO chances to jam out with us.

Saturday - Come out to Oyster City Brewing Company to meet County Commission candidate Caroline Klancke. If you've already met her (hint: she comes to our shows) then come give her a hug and drink some awesome local craft brew!

There's an old saying that "Anyone who loves the law or sausages should never watch either being made". The same can be said for musicians learning how to play.

It's hilarious now to hear it, but back in 2008 The Groundshakers were trying to learn songs and figure out what we could play. For fans who have been with us a while, you might get a chuckle out of checking out these early rough draft recordings.

Hey, if you've seen "Let It Be" you know that even the Beatles didn't sound great when they were first working on songs. But it's still fun to see the progress!
