Yamadeo is a “modern upbeat” Reggae/Rock band currently based out of Tallahassee, Fl. Since 2009 they have consistently toured the Southeast United States and have built a fan-base in most major markets across the area. While drawing inspiration from all genres and artist that have influenced them, they have translated into a sound that is unique to the band. The band is defined by their energetic
live shows as well as their ability to create original music that people truly enjoy. The band formed in 2009 while brothers Ben and Brannen Goldman were attending Valdosta State University (Valdosta, Ga.). By 2010 they had already joined forces with Bobby Boyd and Tk Edmondson and released the “People Get Crazy” EP. Then they started touring regionally and by 2012 they had built a fan-base by consistently playing hundreds of shows at the area’s most reputable Venues, Beach Bars, College Bars and Frat Houses. The “People get crazy” EP had sold more than 1000 physical copies and in celebration, the band printed and distributed 1000 free copies at 311’s Pow Wow at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Soon after the Pow Wow, Yamadeo relocated the band to Tallahassee, Fl. /Thomasville, Ga. In late 2012, Yamadeo release their debut record “Doin it” which in time produced fan favorites such as, My Life, Legalize the Herb, Party Song, Charley Sheen, Sticky Situation and People Get Crazy. “Doin it” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Lee Dyess at Earthsound Studio in Valdosta, Ga. The “Doin it” album opened up many new doors for the band including merchandise sales, booking agents, commercial placements, college/regional/national radio spins. Soon after the album’s release the band was booked for direct support for The Dirty Heads at the Coliseum in Tallahassee, Fl. Since then they have went on to open up for many other nationally touring artists such as (The Wailers, The Dirty Heads, Iration, Stick Figure, Pato Banton, The Green, Passafire, Ballyhoo, the Toasters, Badfish, the Supervillains, Cas Haley, Rehab, the Movement, Natural Vibrations, Pacific Dub, Hirie, and many more.) The bands third release was entitled “After-Party” EP and was recorded and produced by Brett Hessla at BHP Studio in Orlando, Fl. In 2014, “Young Forever” was the first song to chart for the band on the “top 100 best sellers” chart on Itunes when it was released. Soon after the band was asked to co-Headline VANDERFEST in Thomasville, Ga. alongside (Full Devil Jacket, Surrender the fall) and a tour soon followed. The tour ended not long after the band was asked to play Blackwater Music Fest alongside (Slightly Stoopid, Steel Pulse, Easy Star All-stars, Tribal Seeds, Passafire, Steven Marley, the Expendables, act.) in mid-2014, Yamadeo celebrated their 300th live show at Bullwinkle’s Saloon in Tallahassee to a standing room only crowd. In 2015, the band announced they had started recording their Sophomore Album “still untitled”. They Toured extensively “Yamadeo – summer tour 2015” took them across 5 states and 30+ markets and by the end of this year they will be celebrating their 500th live show. They were blessed to land two opening spots on major festivals that included headliners (311, Rebelution, Matisyahu, The Wailers, Ballyhoo, and more).
