Creating reminders is an easy way to help make sure no one is left in the back seat of a vehicle. Placing your phone, bag or other important item in the backseat ensures you always check before locking up.
During the month of June, Prevent Child Abuse Florida will offer daily tips for keeping children and families safe! Have all needed supplies within arm’s reach before bathing your child. Empty all tubs, buckets, and containers immediately after use. Close toilet lids and use toilet seat locks. Keep doors to bathrooms closed and use doorknob covers to keep bathrooms off limits.
Prepare now to stay safe during hurricane season:
Pack an Emergency Kit: Water, food, meds, flashlight.
Make a Plan: Evacuation routes and family meeting points.
Secure Your Home: Clear debris, board up windows.
Stay Informed: Follow local alerts and weather updates.

Starting Saturday, June 8, Parks and Recreation will be operating a shuttle service that will run from the Sulphur Springs Pool to Copeland Pool.
The shuttle will run six days a week through August 10 – the scheduled end of operation for Tampa’s seasonal pools.
All riders will need signed waivers. Children under 9 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to swim. A parent/guardian is recommended for all minors.
Aqua Fitness participants can take the shuttle Monday through Thursday, with an 11 a.m. departure from Sulphur Springs. The return trip shuttle will depart from Copeland at 12:45 p.m.
Open Swim participants can take the shuttle Saturday through Thursday, with departures at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Sulphur Springs. Return trip shuttles will depart from Copeland at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
During the month of June, Prevent Child Abuse Florida will offer daily tips for keeping children and families safe! If you are the caregiver for an infant, practice safe sleep guidelines for all sleeps, including naps. Follow the ABC’s: baby sleeps alone, on their back and in a crib. Adult beds, couches and other soft surfaces are unsafe for babies!
