I wish I had taken a before pic - she hadn’t been in a salon before Covid 😳 So today was a treat!! We started with a Malibu C Crystal Gel treatment so we had the cleanest foundation to work on! Started the silkpress, gave her a good haircut then styled & finished. She was so blissfully happy with everything - especially how her hair felt!!

My niece has been coming to me for her hair these past 5 years. Started out slow with the highlights 3 years ago (she’s almost 16). Built up over time & tho she’s been wanting to go full platinum (which I’m just not gonna do yet), today - thankfully - she decided she doesn’t necessarily want that anymore. I lightened near her face much brighter but balayages, foilyage & foiled her hair. It’s a much easier grow out, too, as she usually comes in once every 4 months. She loves it!

One of my favorite clients! Tho today was her last day with me (she’s moving up north) we started something she’s in love with! She came to me almost 2 years ago with a formula in hand. I continued it but it always bothered me it was warmer than I thought it should be. One appointment (about 4 months ago) I mentioned it & she said it had kinda bothered her & so I started in a path to remove that warmth & make it more ‘creamy’. I’m sad to say goodbye at least she’s heading off to a new chapter with beautiful hair!

Smoothing treatments are not meant to straighten the hair. They need tending to for the optimal results (in other words: you have to blow dry and/or use hot tools). But O.M.G. it sure can look beautiful :

Discovered a new product for silk pressing!! This lovely lady is my regular Saturday morning guest!! I have used a smoothing treatment on her a few months ago & had no problems but I switched up my shampoo and conditioner as well as styling product! Drying was a breeze - flat iron was a breeze & the affects of the wave is amazing!!! Thanks GK_Hair 🤩🤩🤩
