About the Event

Have you ever wished there were more opportunities for young Christians in Tallahassee to socialize, have fun, and grow together in their faith? If that sounds like YOU, then come hang out with us for an evening filled with fellowship, a delicious family-style meal, and some Friendly Feud games - which is a lot like Family Feud but somewhat less dysfunctional. (YES, prizes and lovely parting gifts are included).

Live the Life is expanding its College and Career Ministry in Tallahassee!

We believe this College and Career fellowship of young Christians will grow and evolve into weekly opportunities to socialize, have fun, eat some great food, develop authentic relationships and a caring community, and offer Bible studies/discussions a couple of times per month guided by our Founders Richard and Elizabeth Albertson. If we are successful, your inward life will become greater than your outward life.

From San Francisco, California, to Green Bay, Wisconsin, all the way down to Florida, with a stop in Arkansas, Adventures in Marriage (AIM) is helping couples build healthy, thriving marriages. This interactive program teaches essential skills such as communication, conflict resolution, and understanding personality styles. AlM empowers couples to meet each other’s needs and avoid negative behaviors, fostering strong and resilient relationships.

Exciting news! 🎉 Join us in welcoming Dallas Pymm as our new Vice President of Advancement at Live the Life, starting August 5th. With over 12 years of experience in fundraising and donor relations, Dallas brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for strengthening families and marriages. We're thrilled to have him on board! 🙌

Have you ever wondered what Live the Life’s “secret sauce” is? This is it: PRAYER!!!

We know here at Live the Life, we couldn’t do what we do without all of our prayer warriors! We are so grateful for each of you who pray continually for us - for those who are on your knees for us, so that we can be on the front battle lines for marriages and families!

We host a monthly prayer luncheon in our conference room and we are inviting YOU to join us this month! If you’re one of our prayer warriors, or you’d like to be, or even if you would just like to know more about Live the Life, we would love to have you join us this month.

Here’s what you can expect: A delicious catered lunch, some sweet fellowship with other believers, and a chance to hear about the latest and greatest things going on at Live the Life! Our president and program directors share what God is doing and how you can partner with us in prayer. In addition, we make time for each attendee to share their requests around the table and receive prayer from other believers. Is there any better way to spend a lunch hour?

So whether you need prayer or want to join other believers in prayer or just hear more about what we do, we are extending a personal invitation to you this month!

As God’s word says, “Where two or more gather in my name, there am I with them” Matthew 18:20.

This is so counter-cultural but here goes...

Marriage wasn't meant to necessarily make us happy but to refine us & it is for the purpose of bringing glory to God! Happiness can be a result of marriage but not necessarily the goal!

The world will tell you to do what makes you happy and not give up your "style" or your "way" for anyone but Christ tells us to honor one another above ourselves (Roman's 12:10).

This doesn't necessarily mean we can never do things the way we want to when we get married but it does mean that "my way" can't be the focus & the priority.

Marriage gives us the opportunity to put someone else first and love them MORE than we love our own way.
